Another one in Switzerland - from the phone number 009999100152. I asked how i knew it was a genuine call. He proceeded to give me his name (Matthew Johnson - except he sounded Indian), his employer id (MS/id/04015J24), his phone number (+441223901163). I then rang off.
I called the number back that he gave me, and guess what, it is for swappccare, the company mentioned previously.

These poeple have phoned 3 or 4 times this week - they leave no messages and are totally unintelligable when someone actually answers.   Who are these people?

I just got a call from these arrogant people. "English? English? Your Windows crasches. We receive your reports. We have a technishian to help you".

Ich erhalte seit einer Woche täglich 2 bis 3x Anrufe von dieser Nummer, eine echte Belästigung. Keiner spricht auf den Anrufbeantworter. Habe 2x abgenommen, niemand hat was gesagt, habe auch nicht gewartet. Die Vorwahl scheint aus Turkmenistan ... Wie stoppt man diese Belästigung?

Ich habe auch schon 2 Anrufe erhalten. Das erste mal fragte ich nach der Adresse, damit ich recherchieren kann.
Das zweite mal verlangte ich eine Mail, worin das Problem beschrieben ist. Als er nach meiner Mail Adresse fragte, sagte ich ihm, dass er die ja haben müsse, wenn er eine Fehlermeldung bekommen habe.
Beide mal wurde daraufhin komentarlos unterbrochen.

Schweiz: Kriegte gestern und heute (beides mal ca. 11.50 Uhr) einen Anruf ohne dass jemand was sagte. Klang eher nach toter Leitung. Habe mich einmal gemeldet und dann aufgehängt. Nächstes mal nehm ich nicht mehr ab.

Auch hier. Diese (komische) Nummer  ruft stündlich an. Grundsätzlich gilt, nicht abnehmen oder reagieren. Ob es Sie vorher verleidet?

Sie probierte auch bei mir über remote- access in meinem pc zu kommen, um "sogenanntes Problem" zu lösen.
Gott sei dank habe ich den Dienst dankend abgelehnt.

Angesprochen auf PC-Probleme.
Wie kann man man sich dagegen  wehren ?

3 Calls this week alone - a guy called Jack insists there is something wrong with my Windows ....makes it seem like he is returning one of my calls.

I have been called  by this number several times. Person claims to work for "windows" but not Microsoft. Indian accent, I could well believe the call is from India. Hang up! Do not answer any personal questions or about your computer. Caller pretended to be from London. Is often very aggressive.

called today and told me that my comp ha s a backdoor open. But it's not true. I controll all ports. An I told this guy to send me email with instructions how to deinfect my machine. He started to talk smth but I have loughed and hanged up.

A I told him that I have started my computer and if he can see it on the net. he told me that yes ....but computer was switched off ha ha.
A ! this guy claimed he is form microsoft. Then I have started to comply on his product ....ha ha.

Anyway this is a scum. Do not pick up!

Called me for the third time to say Windows sytem was having trouble. They speak only English even though they're calling to Switzerland. I also received a number of missed calls from this number. They don't seem to take no for an answer. Contacted Swisscom but they cannot block the number. Good to see I'm not alone and I do hope this stops soon.

They called just moments ago. I had this call in September but wanted "to defer it". And they did, that means they have some rather sophisticated system to call. I live in an area with rel. poor ppl and much immigrants. I suspect they hope to get English speaking  types on the phone. If you do have any time pretend to have Windows and then just play along. I didn't have the nerve to fool the lady for more than a few minutes and just said I don't have Windows. *click* and bye.

Deutsch: Wie oben beschrieben ein Scam/Trickbetrug für Software. Sie wollen mit eventvwr "Fehler" zeigen. Dass sie die Nummer nicht unterdrücken ist ein Vorteil. Generell sollte man nur noch abnehmen, wenn die Nummer angezeigt wird.

J'ai reçu un appel de ce numéro. <ils s'y connaissent très bien en informatique et utilisent les codes DOS pour montrer des "erreurs" soit-disant existantes. Leur arnaque est très bien faite et beaucoup de gens doivent les croirent. Ils ne parlent qu'anglais et m'appelent M'aam. Ils ont aussi un autre no de téléphone : 009999100317
Ils certifient sans arrêts qu'ils sont des techniciens de Microsoft.

Ils forcent la vente d'un programme à 245 £

J'ai refusé, ils ont insisté et rappelé 3 fois !!!

aujourd'hui quelqu'un m'a contacté pour la même raison... de sombre arnaqueurs!!
Ils voulaient installer un programme sur mon ordi pour me montrer toutes es erreurs de mon ordi.
Ils démarchent de la façon suivante:
1) executer eventvwr.exe
2) executer support-LogMeInRescue
3) Vente d'un logiciel de www.swappcare.com (à des prix exhorbitants!!!)
