had a missed call from this company, who is it?

Just had a call from this number, no-one on the other end, then hung up. No reply when phoned.

They said for this number 01159380062 "Maida Vale Mobility". I shalll have to Google this one but it sounds like one of those companies selling these electric powered moving chairs to run one over in shopping centres?

they have found out somehow that he has recently lost a lot of his mobility.

I posted a message yesterday saying that phone number 0115 938 0062 had phoned him on 19/1/2011 trying to sell him an electric buggy.
Something rang a bell in my head and this company have also rang my father on 7/1/2011 about a ripple effect mattress. On this occasion they phoned him on 0115 938 0001.
I rang them back on 0115 938 0001 and i did speak to someone and told them that i did not want them to contact my dad.
I had said that they were trying to sell my dad a matress but they said they were only demonstrating it!
However, as noted above, they have called my father again, just 3 weeks after i said that i did not want them to contact him.
They are actually called Meadow Vale Mobility (not Maida Vale Mobility) and they can be 'googled'.
They are based at Bilsborough, Nottingham
I have found out from my dad that they also came out to his house to demonstrate this mattress at the end of Dec 2010.

Really helpfull company bought 3 scooters off them now reliable company to buy from .

Don't get me started and I think you're correct. But it is all legal. Being expensive or cold calling the elderly is not a criminal offence.

Meadow Vale Group is run by Sean Garvin, an Irish national, and Philip Hooley, British.

Surly this thread is becoming slanderous I thought this was all abouts who rang not about puting directors names and company accounts maybe moderators really should look at this and decide if it right.I agree with many posts but really some people have got much time onn there hands

I googled Meadow Vale Mobility to get their number because my dads 2 year old scooter had broken down and found this link. Obviously I was very concerned with some of the comments, however after contacting them to explain the problem they were extremely helpful and came out to have a look the following day. Its worth mentioning that my father lives in Cornwall! They couldn't fix it at his home and had to take it back with them. They very kindly left a loan scooter with my Dad so he could get about.

They returned the scooter as good as new to him the following week. They did all of this for free under warranty.

I cannot obviously comment on other peoples dealings but the service my father recieved was excellent.

I've been in touch with them recently about my mums faulty riser chair - they have been more than helpful.... again, like the other poster...they have provided her with a loan chair into they mend her own. Really nice bloke called Steve has kept me in the loop all the way on progress on resolving the problem. Whoever posted company details on this site - all that info is freely available on Companies House but I'm really not sure why you bothered to research and post it anyway.

I agree about Companies House and it's available on lots of other sites as it's information in the public domain. Reputable companies never have anything to fear or to complain about, it's the cowboys who kick up the fuss. They seem to shy away from publicity.

Trust they won't call me again!

I have had dealings with this company and found them to be exceptional. I had a rise and recline chair from them but after a few weeks found it unsuitable, they kindly sent me a replacement which was perfect for me and didnt charge me even though it was much dearer. I agree that there are cowboys out there but I wouldnt hesitate to buy again from them.

Just had a call from this company who claimed to be following up a call made last December to my wife about mobility.

Lying toe rags;  my wife died 5 years ago and is bitterly missed.   Girl caller when I said how upsetting it was just said "whatever" and hung up.

They claimed to have my phone number from a "Mobility Database" but we would never have put it there, nor was there any use of mobility bits for anyone else to do so.

If their products match their sales techniques I wouldn't touch thnmm with a barge pole.

they called me and i explained that they shouldnt have my phone number as i am on TPS (telephone preference service) and do not wish to be called again they said that they would take my number from there calling list and apologized  for disturbing me .

they get your phone number from the DLA data base   if you dont want them to call you again just ask them to take you off there call list like i did .
but if you do need  the type of products there selling  alot of people seem to have found them a good company .
