Indian man saying he was from talk talk there was message on my internet I kept saying I did not understand him he hung up no. 01212678024 scam call that try to get remote access and install a virus then what money to remove it.

I was under the impression area codes are a zero followed by 4 numbers.
But looking on www.area-codes.org.uk they say it is a 0121 code and is based in or near Birmingham.
But they also say it could be deliberately disguised, it could be a fault or you can actually buy a landline number to give an impression that you are somewhere else.
Either a business that wants people to think they are local or a small business that doesn't want the stigma of only being contactable via a mobile.
I have received calls from 01212 121212, 01215 307000 and 01215 575345.

I got a call on my mobile which rang off before i could answer, called back and got message "incorrect number" any ideas

Number was 01212703510

01212 700743 called just now, second time and line dead.
How these firms can waste bucks on such, but it pays pensions, from the tax take.

I keep getting a call from number 01212441760 i don't know who it is. As soon as I answer they end the call. I get a call from this number most day's.when I try to call back it's as if the number don't exist.

Had call claiming from HMRC concerning tax evasion

Recorded message claiming HRMC has filed a law suit against me and asked me to press 1 for further information. I hung up.

Got a call 12.30 ish, 7 May... 01212 546859.  Have not rung back in case a scammer, OR a long lost relative I don’t want to speak to!!  Am on TPL and usually only get Talk Talk scammers after they lost all our files!

Had a call also from 01212360240 saying they had received server error messages. Twice in two days. Told them it was a scam and was reporting them.

Calls and hangs up

I was called by 0121246940045 with prerecorded message saying that my landline line was tempered with and if I was a BT customer to press 1 or 2 for other providers!!!. I believe this is a dodgy call likely to be a scam. Be aware!!
