These have called me 3 times everyday for the past 3 days. You pick up and theres nothing there. Now i just leave it if it rings if it's important. they can leave a message. Costing them their money and time.

Silent call received Friday 6th September 2014 - then cut off.
Suspect that the following might apply:
Initially, it may be an auto-dialler that is programmed to call
set batches of numbers to see which are live.  This way,
ex-directory numbers become included in the database as
a bonus.
The database is then later passed on to a dedicated cold caller
who will be working through the database.  Any further info gleaned
by the cold caller (whether successful or not) is added to the
database and eventually sold on to other cold callers.

Advice is never to engage in conversation of any kind.  These people
are typically skilled at finding out information.
Leave phone off hook next to radio or hang up and don't answer for a while.

Been getting these calls for over a week now asking for someone who doesn't live here.  I have asked them to remove my number as they are clearly calling the wrong number.  Today he asked yet again for Mrs G*** and when I asked who was calling he said"That doesn't matter madam all I need is your obedience"  

been ringing me too got me out of bed at ll.30 last night!!! not amused last call about 30 mins ago, asked him what company he was from and he said choice today. Told him my choice today was for him to remove my number from his database or I will report them for harassment, said he would but I won't hold my breath!

get  yourself a true call phone management system...£90. these tossers try to call but dont even get through. you can manage all you calls on line if you want (as well as from the base unit) and take great pleasure on not receiving any of these peasants ringing you....

Just had this number call me 11:00 at night was just silent on other end.so annoying!

Just had a call from a positively Asian sounding young lad asking if this was - called me by name.  I asked who was calling - he said his name was Shaun and he didn't want to sell me anything. I cut in and said no way was his name Shaun. He cut in and said listen to what I have to say. I cut in and said that Shaun was a Scottish name and was he voting in the referendum? He promptly put the phone down. I'm expecting another call within hours or days - just can shake these b-----s off!

I have had this number ring me several times today. Once i had an Indian doing a Survey (His name was Shaun) I told them no thank you and remove me from your list. Since this morning I have had a further two calls but line just dead

Blow a whistle down the phone as soon as you know it's them. They wont be able to hear anything for a while then!

The above number keeps calling my landline, e.g. @ 14:45; 14:50 and 17:18 on 11/09/14.

Nobody at the other end of the line when I answer and no message left when answer phone is activated.

Don't have a company name...

This number has been calling 2 or 3 times a day including evenings and is a complete nuisance

Or you could invest in the latest BT call blocking phone (and have a phone and 'True Call' in one box (and somewhat cheaper) ...

i have had people phoning me from this number for three years now asking for mrs peet its is sometimes 4 - 5 times a day. I do not give my number out to anyone except my family. If i get any more calls i am going to have my phone disconnected. I work nights and im fed up of benig woken up all the time

asian man called Rick said he did not want to sell me anything but just a survey into my TV provider.....asked for me by name.......I asked him to wait while I got the person and left him to ring off when he realised what I had done....................

Same as above.  Has been ringing several days both on land line  and mobile phone.  Rings several times a day and once at 1 am- bad enough during the day but at that time of night you think the worst.  Sometimes no one there and if they answer they say they're not selling anything, just want to know how I receive my TV.!

This one was called Frank less than 2 hours have elapsed.........told him to p--s off....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Had this Indian guy keep calling me from this number. I told him he and his family were cursed by me until he stops calling my number. Haven't heard from him since.

They rang me every day for a week on this number asked to speak to his manager. He laughed at me and said he did not have one. I said I am not dealing with a survey company who has no management they hung up.

This number is held by Wavecrest telephone number 0207 097 4000 just ring them and tell them they are legally responsible for aiding and abetting  harassment from  the person renting the number and that by law they can be taken to court for you to claim damages from Wavecrest.

If everybody rings Wavecrest they might think twice about letting a bunch of crooks rent English telephone numbers from them.
