- lh| 4 repliesa missed call so i phoned the no. but it was unrecognised
- toddy replies to lhi have an answering machine that asks for the name of the caller before they are put thjrough and it was the queen elizabeth hospital
- Mumphy| 1 replyMy friend took the call as i was in the bathroom! they asked him lots of questions, including what hospital i attend! he then called the number back and it wasn't recognized!
- Caller: don't know!
- JB replies to MumphyThis definitely is a Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham number, however, some numbers aren't recognised when you ring them back. I missed a call from it earlier today but recognised it straight away as my husband was seriously ill there recently and one night I missed a call from this number. That time I really panicked when I couldn't ring back. I rang the main switch to be put through to my husband's ward, turns out they had called me but instead of the call coming from the ward's actual number it showed up as 01213712020.
Apparently some numbers are set up like this and unless you know who in the hospital called you you stand no chance of getting back to them to find out what they want because the caller could be anywhere in the myriad of corridors, nooks and crannies that make up the place.
Word of warning if ever you need to ring the QE either because someone is in there or you have an appointment get a direct extension number, going through the switchboard is a nightmare at times. - SteveTook a call from this number and caller would not ID themself. Googled no and it seems to be coming from QE. Switchboard cannot ID number either...not a number they recognise but said they would check it out. Very disturbing for old or sick people. Switchboard said any call from the QE would ID if asked.
- Jude replies to lhReceived a call from 0121 371 2020 at 1.15am but no response when I answered and the line was held open for some time.
I googled the number and found that others had similar experiences - when I returned the call it is unobtainable.
I am concerned to learn it comes from the QE as we have an elderly aunt who is a patient there.
What is this all about?
Will report to the hospital. - elizabethThis number called my home number which is ex directory and asked for a person we know but hung up when I said they don't live here.
Having read this page, I rang Queen Elizabeth Hospital but they said its not one of their recognised numbers.- Caller: unknown
- jools| 1 replyHad two calls from this number yesterday missed both,, no message, rang back and was an unrecognised number, Have reported to to QE as I looked on here and saw where it was coming from. They should do something as its wrong to call people on a number that you cant ring back. The operator at QE was aware of it and has reported to her superiors. It upset me as till I looked on here. If they dont sort it out I will report them to BT!
- Caller: QE
- AlysonThis number has contacted me 8 times in the last three days, but I kept missing the calls aas I was at work. They rang when I was at home today and they asked to speak to my ex-husband who has never lived here !!. How do these people get our details - there should be a law against it
- DemodaveThis is the Birmingham QE, one the surgeons secretary rang me from this number, I did not try to redial this number but other numbers into the QE are blocked.
- janetWe had a call from this number today and unfortunatley could not get to the phone in time, my husband is on the urgent list for spinal surgery and we are expecting a call anytime to offer him an appointment, we have tried to ring the number but its unobtainable, we are very dissapointed and hope that if it was a call for him to go in for his op that we have not missed the opportunity and its being given to someone else. why dont they leave a message as we are just left in suspense.
- Caller: queen elizabeth hospital
- TravellerThis number has called me 4 times while I am abroad and so obviously not going to answer as it is an unknown number. Really irritating and I wonder what is happening. If it really is the QE in B'ham, the surely it is their job to sort it out. We are now in Feb 2013 so it's been going on a long time.
- sfrumsI am under the QE and it's frustrating not kknowing where in the hospital the number is coming from. I'm under several departments and switchboard cannot identify where it's origionated from either. Give up! They wonder why patients miss appointments!
- Caller: QE I assume
- StephenHad a call asking for my Nan.
Said she was out and they will call back later.
I asked them "who's calling?" but they just said "It doesn't matter, I'll call back later."
Odd. - PeterMSame as above! Call but no message and can't call back!
- EmmaI had a missed call today off this number so I checked the number out first as I didn't recognised it when I seen the comments about qe hospital I rang back as my daughter has recently been refered to see someone from a hospital but I'm not too sure which one yet but the auto message said it was a company called trust money so obviously someone offering a loan or ppi hope this helps
- Caller: Trust money
- KarlThis is the Call Line Identity number for the QE hospital in Birmingham, usually you'd be getting these calls if you have to be in touch with the hospital for some reason.
Anybody who has dealings with the hospital and are getting calls from 0121 371 2020 should call the switchboard and speak to the department/consultant etc who they are dealing with already - this could be for appointments or for family members etc...
QEHB switchboard is 0121 627 2000- Caller: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- AssaultonPrecinct13Had 2 calls from this number last night, which went to answer phone but no message left. Rang back but line is dead. Found out from the Internet that it's a Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, number so, as I have 2 appointments there coming up this weekend, I telephoned the number for the department I have to attend. They told me that this number is used after 1700 hrs (5.00 pm) to check if people will be attending their appointments as they have had a lot of no-shows. That's fair enough but it would be more useful if they left a message explaining what they were doing as it's taken some time to get an explanation and could cause distress to people waiting for urgent appointments to be confirmed, etc.
Just wish I'd found this site and read the post from Karl earlier.- Caller: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham
- Call type: Non-profit organization
