Just missed a call on landline as didn't get to phone in time, so did 1471 and googled the number and found out it was from QE Hospital. Picked up my mobile, didn't realise it was on silent, there was a missed call from unknown and a voicemail and it was from the MRI Dept, asking for me to call them if I was not going to my appointment tomorrow. The number to call them back on if I needed to was completely different to the number that they called from.

Had a missed call from this number on Tuesday. Have been referred to QE in Birmingham so recognised first part of number. Have no idea though who called or why as no message and no idea who to call back as do not know which department I need! It's a joke this is still happening - I guess I now have to wait for a letter to tell me which when you know you will be undergoing major surgery if the relevant departments agree to it is not remotely funny.

I've had calls from this number on my landline and mobile. No voicemail left..I called the main switchboard of the QE and it is them calling. Don't know what department though. Even the lady on switchboard said, you would think they would leave a message.

The number is definitely a legitimate QE hospital number as my wife just called me from this number to let me know she'd left her phone at home (she works at the QE).  I don't know how numbers work over there, but it is a legitimate QE hospital number in case anyone is wondering.

There's a reason why they don't leave a message on answer phones. It's called patient confidentiality. E.g.  You might have an appointment at this hospital but don't want someone else in your household to know for various reasons. Leaving a message could cause problems for some people.

Have had 6 calls from this number between 7am and 7.30am this morning. When answered there was just a beeping noise. If it really is the QE hospital they need to sort it out.  Not expecting any calls from there so it's a bit worrying.

I have just missed a call from this number and cannot ring it back so 4 years later they still havent sorted it!

Had a phone call at 6.00 this morning which I didn't answer. I am surprised it's supposed to be QE as neither myself or family have any appointments, treatments etc with them.

This is the Qe Hospital 100%. I answered this number and it was a ward sister calling to confirm my mum's discharge from the hospital.

Had several no caller ID calls since Friday. Do not answer unknown numbers. Fed up with PPI scams etc. after getting 6 calls in 3 minutes this morning pressed answer. Phone went dead! No messages left.
Then rang me straight away with 0121 3712020 showing !
Googled number. Comes up as QE
Saw other comments on here similar experiences. Rang the switchboard number on here and lady had no idea who would be calling me. Confirmed it was their number. Explained was waiting for MRI for daughter could it be that.
Put through to MRI department they had no knowledge of any calls to my number and on checking details said we were not on any lists and said it wasn't the hospital ! But did tell me they ring patients on that number to book appointments!!!
Kept telling me that it wasn't the QE that had called me. Asked her to explain why the number comes up on my mobile then would even send her the screenshot !
She told me to ring switchboard again.
Really not helpful at all.
There is a problem here somewhere that someone needs to address properly 😡😡

Had a call from this number at 0300 hours 07/02/2017 - bloody nuisance - recent heart bypass operation ( not at Birmingham ) - need my sleep . Unable to ring the number above back - as soon as the answer phone cuts in , it stops ringing .

Missed call, unable to call the number back. Googled and saw comments for QE, I am a patient under the QE but I've had my last test results and not due any more appointments so not expecting a call. No one ever seems to know who's called me from that department even when I do recognise the number so there is really no point in trying the switchboard.

The number is for the switchboard at the QE hospital, they could be calling concerning appointments, info or for NHS workers on calls
