I took a cc with these jokers for the sole purpose of improving my credit limit, as I haven't used credit of any sort in over 10 years & found I was rated poorly.

At first I had direct debit set up, coming out 2nd of every month when something was due, until just before new years they sent me a text saying "Thanks for agreeing to make your payment early on 28/12", which of course I hadn't done.  My pay was due in on 01/02, so this was no good, but could not get through on phone to dispute this.

Needless to say, both my own bank & Vanquis charged me for non payment of dd, so now I refuse to give Vanquis any control of my income whatsoever, and make manual debit card payments online once a month.

I no longer feel any need to 'be on time' with payments, only ensuring they are paid in the month required. Sometimes I pay early, sometimes I pay late, but always on the month payment is due, if not before, so of course they still try to call me from multiple numbers, many times a day, from their auto-diallers.

I can see no benefit in answering their calls, so have blocked literally hundreds of Vanquis numbers, now including this one, and will happily continue blocking the rest. I will pay of what's left of the balance, in the required timescale, without the added seasoning of insulting phone calls, thank you very much Vanquis!

I doubt you'll hear anything different on this site, but no matter your reasoning, do not use this cowboy outfit, it will bring you nothing but irritation!

Vanquis are the worst ctrdid casd company in the land to deal with,they will chase you on the phone using many different numbers if you go over your limit many times a day,they will also give you many different amounts that you are over the limit,pay that amount and they will come up with another.If you pay by monthy amount by cheque,i found that it takes them twice as long as other credit card companies to process the cheque and credit to your account.meaning sometimes they can charge you late payment fees,they give the excuse they are not a clearing bank.

I think rather than complaining, you guys need to get jobs to pay your bills.

This number, and other numbers this abobinimal company use called me early a.m.  I've never had any dealings with Vanquis or have even heard of them.  What are they trying to achieve?  Full scale harassment!  Have reported to TPS, Offcom and ICO.  Next, financial ombudsman. What's the point of TPS, it doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do?!  And these companies don't abide by rules only big fines, and that doesn't seeem to be happening here.  

TPS can help with Sales or Marketing calls only.

Does anyone know how to stop these people from calling?? They are phoning the house number 10-15 times a day & with every missed call on the house phone, they will then try the mobile!!
They promised to stop calling, it lasted three days! There constant harassment has now caused my partner to have a stroke!!!!
Even after telling them this, they still call us consistently throughout the whole day up to nine o'clock at night & weekends!

I am getting calls on my home all day and I don't have anything with this so called bank, I stupidly allowed a member of my family to use my phone to call someone and they must have called this bank and the bank has kept my phone number......bank and family are idiots

I've missed one payment n my next minimum payment has rocketed up! They have been ringing me to help me sort it out, not just to be a pain. I'm glad they rang as they said I could pay my last months minimum payment which u should always pay a bit more than, and now I've done that my next months minimum has been reduced. It does help to answer those calls even tho it might interfere with dinner time or when you are busy.  It's worse to ignore coz that's when it gets out of control!

They phoned me on Easter Sunday. I didn't answer the phone, I would have lost my temper with them!

i am sick of getting calls from vanquis  they must have  at least 20 different numbers   but now have truecaller on my phone  and block them all   which is good  wouldnt be without it

Be careful. I also got a bit behind and made arrangements to pay. After 9 months I had paid £180 yet my bill was higher than when I started. I will take my chances with debt collection agencies as they cant threaten me with bailiffs cos we don't have them in N Ireland.

Vanquis Bank AGAIN. Have now purchased a CPR Call Blocker (£21.95 from CPR on ebay or £33 direct from them) We were having up to 15 calls a day up to 10pm at night and all weekends. Other than when they use a different area code (as today ..... which you immediately block) we have had only this 1 call in 3 months) ........Brilliant device

I can't believe that this is Vanquis again....how many phone numbers do they use!?

I wouldn't mind, but I don't even have an account with them and I never have!  am definitely going to look into putting a complaint in against them.
