You WILL be charged if you ring this number, get a burst of ringing followed by the 'number not recognised' announcement. It could be an autodialler 'harvesting' numbers - if you call it back (releasing your number), they get your number and know it's a working number.

Report them to Ofcom, when Ofcom get enough complaints they will do something about it

Just had this number call again, nothing but silence!

It happens at least once a day, a complete pain in the backside!

Who is it and why????????

Have had the same thing now - three times a day, for three days: no answer on each occasion! Have decided to report them to OfCom.

They must be using a ISDN30 connection and setting the number falsely to 01234 567 890 - BT faults say it is an invalid number: which is pretty logical really, seeing as it would be one of THE golden numbers of choice, and people would pay a fortune for it!

They keep ringing me too. I rang back and it rang once then suddenly, the BT woman says 'The number you have called is not available'
What a waste of time.

Rang once, but i picked up to a dial tone.

Marvellous number though, such a pity they're wasting it with lousy call management!

Try saying it out loud like you were telling someone your number...

Some guy knew my name and kept on saying i love you, and yes i am a guy to, really strange, he knew my name and my sisters name and spoke Bangla language. I reckon it was a international number i.e Internet phone call or phone card. Either way when i catch the fool he is gonna get a beating. lol

01234567890 - getting silent calls from this number, every 10 or so minutes since about 10am today, if you try to ring them back I am told this number is not recognised!!  how does one getthis stopped, I am trying to work.

i have just spoken to OFCOM please could others do this - 020798130401 - they will investigate and do whatever is necesary to stop these people.

Just had this number call me 01234567890 - It was my Uncle calling me from his landline in Brazil (near Rio) he's there working at the moment.  He dialed my mobile normally so must be some fancy voip system?

ive had it 3 times since yesterday - silent then dead tone .

just seen this number advertising a valeting job in cardiff the details next to it say call jason but no answer and number not recognised

I had a silent call from this number @ 11:57 on 24-4-08

I have been called every morning since 22nd April by this number, I tried answering once but there was just silence then it hung up

This number called again @ 10:10 on 25-4-08 asking about my Electricity supplier..

My son called me from his Thai sim card mobile phone in Thailand & 01234567890 came up as his caller ID??

Just had a call from this number, They asked to speak to someone that deals with the electricity bills.

When the number came up on my screen i aswell thought what a great number it was!

Just had a call from this number on our company line, one ring and then they hung up, it sounds like they're trying to save money by getting you to call them  and use the interesting number as an enticement for your curiosity. I don't recommend calling them because any business with such shady marketing practices can't be good at providing services.
