now this debt has gone down to £73.54 ,they now thretten to send people round , keep talked to a guy mr brian that is his last name (really) sounds real to me

Got a call from them. They claimed that they have a telegram from me. They took my address and date of birth. I am really worried now. Then they said they about  a debt in form of water bill which i never owed. I told them to write to send me the details of the debt.

My friend just had same call, redirected mail bla bla bla!!! Said they had got her details from electrol role...should be very untrue as meant to be anomynous, but if this is the case be warned...that how they are finding you!

Me & my partner live with my parents, today my mum had a call from Teolgram asking if Mr * **** lives there, she told them yes. I dont know what to do now, as they obviously have confirmation he lives here. He has previously received letters to his mums address, but we have just ignored them before, but im am worried now they know this is his address, any ideas what they may do next?

i get calls from this number all the time but have never answered cuz i suspected it was some kind of scam. they still call me and i dont know how to stop them.

Had calls ranging from 25th of March through today. Rang them, instantly hung up. Got a call back from an (abusive) Scottish woman saying they were a telegram company wanting a Mrs. L Singh in Leicster.

They deleted my number. Meh, I didnt pay for the privilege of ringing them up :)

When I arrived home today I found this number 01252576434 had called but never left a message. I Googled the number and found this website. I was going to call them back, but after the comments I have read I think I'll give it a miss. What a load of scammers, could have used another descriptive word, but was being polite!!!

We were called at 9.20 a.m. this morning on my day off! They were looking for a person with the same surname as us who took over the rented house after we moved out. This was eleven years and two houses ago and they still found our details. The person is now married with a different surname and they asked for her husband who we have never heard of. How can they associate us with them? They have even contacted my daughter who lives in a different town. This is just because we had the same surname which is a very common one in Wales. We will be seeing our solicitor about this as it must be a breach of data protection.

 my daughter gave her old phone to her boyfreinds mum over a year ago.
today that same phone rang , it was  01252 576434 they asked if they could confirm my daughters name and address.
boyfreind talks to caller tells them she has changed her phone number and gives them her new one, they ask if she is still at number 3 ******* ****
she has never lived at this address ever, it is the address of a very good friend of mine !!and i or we have never used this address.
again the boyfreind gave them her real address (wot a f****r)during the call the caller said they had mail to be redirected to her.
so my daughter after being told all, rang them back a woman on line asked her name adress and said she cant find anything for her on her pc, Mmmm ....
my doughter asked who they were , they said a mail company!!

age 21 my daughter has had or has no debt at all how  can they put the frightners on people like this , will keep you up to date with this as it unfolds .

i will report this to watchdog see what happens !

There's a lot of info out there on the web about this Capquest company and it's not pleasant reading. Just google it and you'll see.  They also trade under the name Telogram and this story about "we've got mail for you" seems to be one of their standard lines. They do not have mail for you they are just fishing for information. Have nothing to do with them and never divulge any information about your friends to them.  Best not to even confirm your own identity and address.

this company phoned my neighbour saying they where having difficulty delivering something to my house.  They wanted my phone number from her.  Thankfully she declined and on the second call they gave her the telephone number 01252576376 with a reference number. They used the name telograms.  I have no debts and own my own house.  Worried!

Got a call from from 01252576434 this morning and asked to speak with me. She said she was Telogram and they had about 40 mails for me and should confirm my address. She must be a fool to think i will actually give my address over the phone, i hung up on her because i had an idea it was a scam

The telegram office left a barely audible reference number / message on my home number on Saturday.  It struck me as odd that the number was STD (01252).  Called this morning with what I thought was the number (lines were engaged all morning) and got through to a very uncertain operator who couldn't hear me or find the message and quoted several other addresses, then asked me for my address and my date of birth (which I gave).  Operator said that this was not for me but for someone else - records had got mixed up or something.  
She tried to ignor my requests for information on how she got my telepone number.  All very odd and I wonder what purpose this serves?

Had call from a lady saying she had a letter for me.  Asked from whom and she said she couldn't say as they haven't authority to open the letter.  Promised to send it within the next three working days.  I asked for the name of her company and she said Telegram of Fleet.  Based on previous comments it looks like she has got my acceptance to receive mail by misrepresentation.  Anyone receiving an unsolicited call from this company should just hang up.

This company is called capquest.. what they are trying to do is chase people for money,what they normally do.. when the debt is nearly statute barred(nearly six years) old ..they try and locate people and chase them ..if you owe this money stand your ground they are not entitled to it..whatever you do dont give them your home phone number they will call you at all hours.. dont get stressed they are  a mickey mouse company the staff are all trained at disney world :-)

Just received a call to say that they have a telogram for me - how dated eh? Asked me to confirm my DOB and my address - asked them for their web site address so that I could check on them - they then started to get annoyed with me and just wanted me to confirm my address - If anyone gets a call from these people DO NOT GIVE YOUR DETAILS I have letter after letter to my address for someone that has a similar name to me and I have called the compnay time after time to tell them there is no one here of that name

joeann please dont bother with these idiots ...do not give any personal information to them ....ignore them ........they are a company that buys debts that are statute barred(six years or more)fight the idiots

they keep calling all the time! Every time they call I tell them to take my number out of their system - they don't get it!!! I'm going mental here.

I've had loas of calls from this number- they've also left messages on my phone. I never answer but it's really annoying. The calls just started when I got a new phone even though I kept the same number- any link there? I don't owe anybody any money. If calls to the company cost 1.50 a minute then I guess that's where the scam is.
I've tried blocking the number but it still keeps getting through.

I answered a recent call from this number. The caller was a well-spoken and polite young lady who asked to speak to a particular male's name which I didn't recognise. She then asked if I was located at a particular address, giving the number and name of a street. Again, this didn't mean a thing to me. She apologised for disturbing me and said she would have my number removed from her list. There was no further conversation and she didn't identify the name of any company or the reason for calling.
