been getting calls from this number for about a week now . because i dont know the number i'm not answering. a friend said to google the number. i'm glad i di now. wish they'd just stop.

It's a Carmarthen land line number - not a scam line at all. Granted it's just trying to sell you a new phone contract but definately not a scma line fo r£5 a minute. Get your facts straight

They called me today, I asked them how they got my number as it was an emergency number (which its not!) - when the girl asked me to repeat what I had said, I told her this was an emergency number and she should not be calling it. She apologised and said they would remove my number from their system - not holding my breath...

Have been receiving numerous calls from this number!!!  It's from 3 Network, trying to get you to swicth moblie phone services providers.  Have told them that if they do not stop calling me, I will blow a whistle down the phone next time!!!!!

I can tell you - NOT VERY!    
As hard as this may be for you to comprehend; people in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (the United Kingdom for the geographically challenged) will often trade goods and services across borders.  A couple of examples here would consist of Admiral/Elephant Insurance, based in Cardiff (a Welsh town you could add to your list) who legitimately insure cars and houses all over the UK (which includes us here in England).  Who would you register your car with as the DVLA is based in Swansea (which is in Wales too)?

Apparently, there are 106,000 people in Scotland working in call centres - do you think they are only calling their own countymen?
