Further my earlier post, let's get rational about this ...
A post on another website suggests that it is from a large car-leasing company in Lancashire which uses an automated system to send fax flyers to existing clients and contacts, on the assumption that it's a commercial fax line which won't haul someone out of bed at some ungodly hour. If your number is one which has been re-allocated from such, but they don't know of this, then you will continue to be in the firing line.
However, if they are told, then apparently they are entirely aware of their obligations under the law, and will readily comply and delete your number from their systems. I suggest then that a sensible, non-abusive e-mail to mail@thebestcardeals.co.uk, outlining your position, will probably achieve the desired result with no further problem. There are also ways of having calls from this source barred to your number (remember that as clients of this firm, whoever previously had your number has effectively consented to receiving them), by getting in touch with OFCOM or the Telephone Preference Service (www.tpsonline.org.uk), at no cost to you.

STOP CALLING FULL STOP.

i have a new number and got my first call from this number at 12:04 pm (ie. daytime). called them on 08000 833 711 (option 4 for customer services) and the guy was very helpful.

they have removed my number from their database and will ensure it is passed on to their external marketing company.

he also informed me about the Fax Preference Service (which i had never heard of). apparently it is separate from the Telephone Preference Service, which explains why a previous poster above got calls even though they were on the TPS.

This is a very useful website but boy there are some idiots who just don't read.
Ring the company, ask to be taken off their database and/or register your number with the FPS, problem solved, end of story.
As has been mentioned this is a respectable succesful company who do not wish to cause any distress. However, as has also been mentioned before, what were once legitamate business numbers may now have been reassigned and so mistakes can occur so take the simple steps to stop this happening.

Phonecall at 01.09 which woke me up completely. No idea who and only odd beeps on the answer phone.

phone call from this number at 4-40 am, sending a fax to a landline not only once but twice within five minutes!!!!!!!!!!

the company is XCLR, i just called them and got my tel number removed from there database, they get the numbers from regenerated bt numbers that conpanies used to have.
simple fix but i will see what happends.

Got a call last night at 1am. It woke the whole family including two children.

People are generally using this website after they have been woken up by these extremely annoying phone calls. I only wish I had the CEO's  number so I could wake his family up at 1am. No good company needs to make unsolicited phone calls  regardless of what the telephone number used to be. They are just desperate idiots, and by the sounds of things with you sticking up for these companies I wouldn't be suprised if you were responsible for some of these phone calls.

Unwanted phone call at stupid o`clock hours.

I assume as you have replied to my post you are capable of reading, however your reply does seem to indicate you have some difficulty understanding what I have said so I'll try again.
It has been pointed out more than once how to deal with these unwanted FAX calls, either directly with the company or via TPS/FPS, I'm struggling to see how this could be made any clearer.

For what it's worth I do not work for the company or have any vested interest and I am certainly not responsible for the calls. They are based in my home town and are well known in the area. They now occupy one of the landmark buildings in the town and are heavily involved in supporting local teams and community projects, feel free to search the company name for proof of this. I came across their number on this website via a Google search that had nothing to do with nuisance calls and didn't think they deserved the vitriol that was/is being served.

I understand the annoyance of nuisance calls, I get many to my mobile every day, including one as I was writing this, despite it being TPS registered and have used this very useful site to identify various numbers. However, I have no idea why people feel the need to continue to criticise the company when simple solutions have been posted on numerous occasions

This is 3rd call, which is annoying, first time I tried to call back, no answer but wacking bill I have gotten more aware now.

rang up 1.50 am ..just beeps ..sh*t heads

This number called my aunts number at 5.00 a.m. this morning.  She is elderly and disabled and struggled out of bed to answer it thinking it was an emergency, only to get the beep of a fax.

Why can't this sort of call be stopped?  it could so easily have caused a nasty accident.  As there have been lots of complaints about this number, can't they put a block on it.

Ihis is a fax spam from XLCR Vehicle Management Ltd. I say lets spam them back and see how thay like it. I have crashed the wedsite and sent them 4000 spam over christmas hope thay like it as much as I did when I got 20 calls from them in one day

I get calls from this number a couple of times every day or two, always in the evenings. I've complained to Ofcom.
