I answered a call from this number - they stated they were a survey company  and asking for me specifically - strangest thing though -- its not my phone but my girfriends??

I think it is from a company called Ipsos Mori I have missed all their calls.

I also received a call from this number, which I missed. Again, tried to ring back and just ends itself.

It is Ipsos MORI.  The do surveys across the world such as television viewing figues etc.

just got called 8:45pm,

They phoned me on the 0208 and 0150 number thanks to this thread I've entered them into my phone as cold callers so I can ignore it if they ring again. Thanks for that guys!

Keep getting this number ring me and when I try to ring back thers no dial tone. Wish they would [***] themselfs and find something beta to do with their time

This number has called me twice this evening; was out of range so just received a 'missed number' text.

I got a call from them @ around 6om today, but I missed it as I was having a shower.
Anybody knows what that number is?

just to say, i used to work for ipsos in lowestoft, and even in you are tps registered, they are still allowed to call you, as they are not selling any products.

if you do wonder where they get your number from, usually it's RDD, or random digit dial. you can guess how that works. it's not against the law as many people think.

when you try and ring back, it doesn't work as there is no phone to take in-coming calls. all the outgoing ones are called by a computer.

by law they are only allowed to call between 9am and 9pm. if they call you after these times, it's against the law.

and the question - why can't these people fnd something else to do with their time? because it's lowestoft. if ipsos mori wasn't here, our town would be full of unemployed people. before ipsos mori set up here, lowestoft had one of the highest unemployment rates. they give jobs to students and unemployed people who really need the money.

Ipsos MORI use a random digital dialling service so even if your on the TPS they can still call you! theyre not selling anything (and for all those who think ex-directory will save you YOU ARE ONLY OUT OF THE PHONEBOOK)! Maybe take a bit of time and consider what the person is saying, we have to go through hundreds and hundreds of calls speaking to the general public who have nothing better to do than moan and abuse us! take the time to listen, if you dont want to do it tell them politely (and why not? this country is run on the opinions of the general public!). People should nto make presumptions about how the company operates as everything we do is in reflection of the reactions of members of the public. Thanks

Got a missed call, and from the sounds of things I wont be picking up if they call again!

Same thing just happened to me. I didnt pick up, but searched area code and it appears to be somewhere close to Lowesoft Suffolk

It's the National Student Survey phone number asking for your details. I refused and said I'd fill it out online on the web address my tutor sent me.
