Any idea who they are please?

They asked for me by name and when i confirmed it they rang off.

I've had a few calls from this number i just answered it and left it on my desk i don't know anyone from luton which is where the area is for.

They rang this time and asked for my fiancee by name and then rang off after she spoke to them briefly.

Have called frequently. When my wife answered they asked for me by name. When asked why, they said it was a market research.

I got a call from this number, but as i didn't recognise i didn't pick up. I don't know anyone in Luton either so it can't be anyone I know.

The code 01582 is certainly for Luton, but it may in a village near Luton, rather than in the town itself. It's not allocated to BT, but to Cable & Wireless, so it may be worth contacting them and reminding them that their customer is breaking the law.

I got a call of this number tonight but I dont know anyone from the Luton area, was wondering if anyone can help trace who it is?

despite being ex directory amd having previously registered with the TPS I have received 2 calls in the evening from this number caliming to be a market research company and can they ask me a few questions, if anybody else gets one then pleass go to the TPS website (http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/what/) and register a further complaint   hopefully they can get something done about this outfit

they rang me and asked to speak to Robert Lewis
when i said Robert Lewis speaking they hung up immediately

This number has rung me twice did not leave a message either time and I did not have my phone on when they rang - weho are they?

Called just before midday, lady said she was phoning for Ofcom with a survey.  Asked for me by name.  I am already registered with tps.  Will report this call to them.

I have been contacted by this number 6 times a day over the last two days, they say they are representing ofcom and it's about research regarding television programmes. They ask if anyone there is aged between 18 and 34, even though I lied and told them I am 40, they said they will call me back next week, they also asked my name which I gave a false one to be on the safe side and they then  hung up! The strange thing is that I am sure every call was from the same female person?

OK I just called this number and it says it is out of order and sorry for any inconvenience? Typical!

I had a call from this number this evening at approx. 19.50hrs. They asked for me by name and then atempted to sell me some classic Indian elephant dung. Said it was an ancient herbal remedy which, when spread over ones exposed bell-end, would help to achieve great erectile success.

It is a company that carries out surveys for a number of different companies.
I am a member of the Insitute of directors and they claim they were carrying out a survey for them?

Their website reveals that they use 01582630014 and 01582630015, so at least they are being honest about their nuisance calls, BUT read on.

The TPS system allows Market Research companies to make cold calls, as they are not selling anything.  However, it does not give them freedom to annoy people repeatedly.  If you ask them to stop, they should not make even one more call to you.  If they do, it is harassment, and you should report it to OFCOM and the police.
