Whoever these people are they are the lowest of the low.  I asked them to speak clearly & they just cut off!
The biggest trouble is they phone through on a withheld number & I have some genuine callers on withheld!

I am fed up with being called, when I start to ask questions they hang up. Samantha call today. I am retired and registered with the TPS why are they calling?

Had a call from them and they asked my name. When I answered yes they immediately hung up. May just pay them a call when next in Cumbernauld. Not the fault of the telemarketers, it's just a job to them and may be the only way to get a wage. But the owners of the company should answer as to why they think it's ok to operate in such a manner. There will be older people who answer these calls and are intimidated by them.

When I asked for the address of the Company was told 'I do not know, we are a call centre.' When I asked for the address of the call centre, was told OK then' at which point they hung up.

Got a call from this number today, said they were calling from Butler & Carr, never heard of them.
For answering two questions they would put me into a draw for vouchers.
As soon as I said they had called a business number they hung up.

TPS are useless unless the company concerned abide by the rules, which they don't.
As for the telesales person who thinks its alright to call people when they don't ask to be called, yes you are a scumbag, just as much as the employers who pay you to do it, ignorance or needing the money to pay bills is no excuse.
Just wait until you get these sort of phone calls at all hours of the day and see how smarrt you are then.

Why don't you grow a pair and tell them where to stick their job.

The intriguingly non-existent "Butler and Carr" called my TPS-registered number this morning at 10.30. Their number was withheld, but a few minutes with Mr Google identified the culprits as being DM Design Ltd of Kircaldy. DM Design also use the equally non-existent "Lindsay Anderson" who are likewise in the habit of calling from a withheld number. In my view this is because  DM Design Ltd are trying to duck the attentions of the Information Commissioner's Office with whom they have already had a serious and expensive run in. If anyone's interested, the Data Manager at DM Design is one Amy Younger and her phone number is 01592 261500.

I am a former employee of this call center, after a few weeks i left as the job is appealing, from the office we were made work in to the calls we made.
The number doesn't work, it never has. You need to call the actual kitchen bathroom show room (if you Google dm design kirkcaldy the number is there...) to get a number that actually works

    really?
I get it is annoying but tbh some of you guys are way over reacting and need to get a bloody grip. How is calling ('especially on a Sunday') such a sinful act? Or is it perfectly ok to give abuse to them (and there are a FEW that are not rude) just because they need to work? some people have kids to provide for a bills to pay. I have a friend working there who is saving for uni and it is the only job that is flexible around her college hours. Chill the hell out and grow the [***] up, there is no need to be so damn immature about it. I get these calls but it seems more like you sit around all day with nothing better to do then give people who actually work abuse over the phone or online

Having read this thread from start to finish I empathise with the people who are on TPS and are being phoned.  That should not happen, and I apologise profusely and inform the person that it will be removed.  Whether or not clicking the option TPS on the system removes the data I actually have no idea, the managers aren't exactly forthcoming with information on it.  We just sit down, log in and an auto dialer does the rest.  I had no choice but to accept a position, I was on the dole and was struggling to get work despite having a degree (the positions I applied for that related to my degree either don't reply or say you're too inexperienced).  I know the practices are unscrupulous but I had two choices, refuse the position and get sanctioned by the job centre for refusing work or accept the offer.  I am always polite on the phone and have never been rude to anyone despite being on the receiving end of some pretty vicious abuse.  I have however seen and heard some of my colleagues talking in an aggressive tone to people but if they're getting the "bites" then no-one cares.

You are too immature. I am one of those people who work there and you know what? I do it cause getting a degree in behaviour phycology ain't free so why don't you say those 3 things to yourself cause despite the fact some of us are working there now, we will make more of ourselves then you ever will

'Lowest of the low'...? Is that so?
Lower than those in 3rd world countries parliaments letting their people die of hunger, thirst and disease?
Lower than a murderer or rapist?
Lower than a animal or child beater?
Sorry your head is too far up your ass to see the economy is still in decline and people struggle for a job to pay for education, there bills or provide for a family to release a 30second call can make you think people struggling in a horrible job are the 'lowest of the low'

Why not? People work Sundays, why not us?
There is nothing so special about a Sunday, religion has no real value (much to my distaste, I wish it still had more power) and in British history Mondays are a day of rest so again, why not a Sunday?

Just...naww man. Grow up. It's not the call center agents fault, its the owners so don't give people who are on minimum wage and struggling a hard time for working for a living. Would you rather they all sign on instead which would overall lead to a tax rise if all call center agents sign on?

I love these comments. I totally understand people on tps going mad, they dont check tps but thats not the callers fault so some of you guys need to [***] relax. Lowest of the low? Callng me on sundays, scumbags, get a real job... really, youd all class rapists and murderers above us? Yeah welldone guys, we dont want a cold call from an unsolicited caller because im on tps but it was cool when jimmy saville phoned for a catch up on a sunday. Get a grip seriously! Would you rather we just leave our job and sit on the dole take up the tax payers money? People have bills to pay for, family's to provide for. Lifes tough out there, if you think we give a [***] if you dont want phoned on a sunday?, we have bills and familys to provide for. the call doesnt even last a minute yet you will hurl abuse and swear at us, even at the ones who arnt rude. Just so you know we all have call completion codes for calls we take so if your going to be rude and swear at someone what do you think there going to click on your phone number? Is it...do not call? Tps? or Customer hung up? aka you will be phoned again! As i said its a [***] job, people need to make a living, Be polite, say you are on tps and you would like to be removed or if you aint on tps, not interested thanks. Simple click tps, not intrested etc, you wont be phoned again. Abuse us and be an over reacting [***] and you will be. Show us respect we will show you respect. Tps isnt our fault btw, its an automated dialling system. Theyt dont check tps and thats not right, but if we phone one well me ill remove the person no matter how the call goes but as i said some people will put you down for a call back at the back of the cue if your going to just hand out abuse thats not needed. tbh the place is a joke the manager at the mo is disgrace, youd alll loveeeeee him. Hes a greedy sneaky [***] who has less managerial skills than a blind one legged [***] monkey. Im leaving the place shortly but still tps dudes, for 30 seconds on the phone chill out, say nice and calmly im on the tps id like you to remove my number please. and boom youll be gone! You wouldnt know that though, too busy unleashing rage from your sad life upon us.
