when i called it back there was a strange engaged tone

Missed the call and when i called straight back a strange engaged tone also. Is a local number though??

called at an unusual time, i answered and they asked for mrs walker ( not me )
i have just moved to this house and have a new number. I told him this and asked how he got the number. He said from his database. I asked what database, he said ' the database on my computer ' i said what database on your computer would that be? He hung up. What an idiot!!!
All i can find out just now is that it is a number in fife, scotland.

I got a call from this number this afternoon (Monday 8 February). I missed the call but will not be calling back!

was called this morning and my son answered. They got our name right and asked to speak to me or my husband but wouldn't say why. My son asked who it was and the caller said either Greg and Goodwin, or Greg Goodwin - the man was so anxious to hang up that my son couldn't hear him clearly. The number is a Kirkaldy, Fife, Scotland number (not where I live). Greg Goodwin appears to be an evangelist but I can't find info on any company called Greg and Goodwin.

Caller was male and said he was from a media company.  I asked where he got my number, as I'm registered with the TPS.  He replied the number was found on a toilet wall, before hanging up

Called twice so far today latest at 11:15. Greg and Goodwin is the name given.

I've just had a missed call from this number. I'm not going to phone it back.

"Melanie" of Gregg & Goodwin asked for me by name and I confirmed. Asked her where she got my number from and she replied on Database .Asked her how my number got there but she refused to answer and hung up. Cant get any search hits on number or company name so I suspect identity theft scam especially as I am unlisted and TPS registered. Complaining to TPS and ICO.

I had the same experience as some here. Smarmy hello from Greig and Goodwin, and offering £1000 gift vouchers, I asked how he got the number as I am supposed to be TPS. He immediately hung up, I called the number back to complain about that but it was unobtainable. Can someone please tell me how we stop these pillocks doing this?

Did not recognise the number so did not answer as I thought it would be from a call centre selling or trying to sell something. How do I stop these calls coming through

Received a call from this company 15 minutes ago. Hung up on me when I questioned who they were. Eventually did a search in Company House. The company Saving U Time is actually dissolved.

Have contacted Trading Standards regarding this.

Phoned and asked for my flatmate - told at work, hung up, 3 seconds later same woman phoned and asked for him again - told her to listen next time and b u g g e r off.

Just took a phone call from this number ten minutes ago; a female caller asked to speak to Mrs R (wrong title).  Denied that I was Mrs R and asked who was calling (twice) but she didn't provide any information to say who she was.

Then she asked if I was the homeowner of the property, and I said no.  she then said that she was calling with 'an offer for homeowners' - she hung up abruptly when I asked where she had obtained my number and mentioned the TPS.

They call and ask for a Mrs *Smith* (partners surname) not married so I ask who is calling and they said Greg and Goodwin and I interupted them to tell no such Mrs Smith and they hang up.  Been calling or months, today it was a man and it usually is a young girl.  Scottish accents.

How do we get them caught by police.  I am on the TPS also.

Just got a call this afternoon from 01592642600. They asked "Is this Mr. R?" I answered "Yes, who's calling please?" and they hung up. It seems they want to confirm that a name is linked to a number, for what purpose I have no idea. I've sent a complain to the ICO
