- LucyThey rang me and tried to sell me a better contract.. so confusing
- hswe have 4 phones on business tariff, contracts up for renewal. trying to get us to have a skype phone, told them didn't want skype happy with what we suggested and was told that we could not have those particular phones unless we upgraded to a £30pm each phone from £15 but according to the website we can have these phones at no charge for any tariff we choose I was then informed that the website was wrong and we would have to take add-ons in order to get these phones. I told him not according to the website which I am looking at right now and he said that it was wrong. My son who works for Orange then walked in took the phone and told him that it was against the law telling us these things and then told them not to contact us again, but they had pestered us for days and even the workers phones. They are a BAD company. They do not tell you who they are and they told us they were part of 3

- edThese people call me 8 times a day
I haven't answered for 2 weeks straight
why dont they get the hint? - DAVEbigtigT - 8 May 2008
I object strongly to getting "cold calls". If I want a new mobile phone or anything else for that matter, I would look for it myself. My mobile phone number has only been given to freinds and family for a reason, therefore I see this kind of call as an infringement on my privicy.
bet you handed out it on a website tho didnt ya?? signing up for like hotmail etc..?

- d williamscan you stop phoning my mobile as i do not know where you got my number from and your phoning constantly
- SamBe very very wary of this call! They called me this morning on my mobile, claiming to be NTL on behalf of Three.
Recently I got scammed by a company claiming to be Phones 4 U (where I got my phone) offering me a an upgrade, which I took. 3 weeks later, and many calls to the real Phones 4 U, they claim to have nothing to do with it. I had to go to the bank and get all my details changed.
Naturally, I was very wary of this call, especially since the first thing they asked me was what tariff I was on. It sounded like a train station in the background!
I said "I was recently scammed this way. I don't want anything to do with you. Don't ring me again." and he had the gall to shout at me! I just put the phone down.
Be very very wary of this caller!- Caller: NTL? Something about marmalade? :S
- SueWent to the website and on the top right is a 'Remove number' button. Clicked on that and have asked to be removed. We'll see what happens!!
- Mark SmithEvery single day, 2 or 3 times a day this number calls my mobile (3). This has been happening for around 3-weeks now.
I suspect the 3 network have sold people's phone numbers to this bunch of rogues and totally flouted data protection laws.
My contract with 3 isn't even up for another 12-months FFS !
I'll just keep ignoring and hope they eventually give up. - JennaI'bve had these calls on both my mobile phones now and it's seriously pathetic. It's so obvious they're on commision as after about 30 seconds they cut you off anyway if they're not getting anything from you.
I called the number back and demanded to be spoken to a supervisor or manager, who removed my number straight away. I would have used the website option above to do this but i don't know where that info is going. The guy has taken it off now so fingers crossed it won't happen again.- Caller: Marmalade
- KerryThis company has scammed my mum BIG TIME!!!! Do not ever accept any calls from them. They have taken money from her without permission, they have misled her, been rude to her and we are now taking legal action. They are absolutely shocking and I find it an absolute disgrace that 3 associate themselves with this company and allow this to happen. Even more so do i find it shocking that they use a chartiy to con people into taking contracts out with them. If we have our way they will be no more, trading standards have been informed. BEWARE!

- JamesIf anyone else is getting silent calls / instant hang-ups from this number or the other one lovemarmalade uses (0161 236 1088) can I suggest you complain to Ofcom at
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/complain/landline/nuisance/silent/
They don't investigate single complaints but will take action if enough of us tell them about the issue.- Caller: lovemarmalade.com
- DaveI've been receiving the same calls and it's from a mobile phone company called Marmalade which are based in Manchester http://lovemarmalade.com/index.php
Thing is i've already spoken to them and said i'm not interested yet they still persist in calling what must be at least 5 or 6 times a day everyday. They call when they think you will be on lunch and also dead on the dot at 5pm when they think you have finished work. - KThis company works on behalf of 3 and T-Mobile apparently, so I was advised, after like the above receivers were being harrassed by this caller. I was genuinely missing the calls. They did suggest I give them my number to be removed from their calling list after I advised them I am only a month into my contract...... Think I might have words with 3 to discuss the issue with them.
