I got call from 0141 416 0168 on 28th of Sept.

Initially the guy who spoke, sounded to be Asian. Same, he said you have not updated your CISAN, and now there is penalty that you have to pay.  He claimed they have already sent one letter regarding this and why i haven’t replied.

He told you have given wrong Date of birth and address in the landing card. And i have not updated CISAN number.

Then, he transferred the call to there Accounts dept. A girl (Stacey)with english accent spoke. She had some of my information like DOB , address , visa details.

She said i have to pay penalty of  £715 for wrong details that i gave in Landing card and fees for getting CISAN Birtish High Commission,New Delhi. She even gave me a Case number if i call in future.

Then she took my office address and said she is freezing my Visa till the time i update CISAN.

Earlier, she said you have got only 48 hrs to get this number from India. And either fly back or send my family member to get this no.  Then , she said she can  help me to get the number by co-ordinating directly with British High Commission thru once of there representative. But first I need to pay the money.

During the initial conversation i felt it's  fraud(which actually it was). But they were so convincing with and the details they gave that made me believe its a genuine call.

Then she said, one of there team member can give me directions(thru phone) and  help me to get to the bank and withdrew money. She said dont disconnect the phone as they are recording all the conversation.  

During all this time there was a feeling in me that its a fraud and i called my friend to check online. He confirmed its a fraud. By this time i withdrew money also(like a fool).

In the mean while phone got disconnected and she called again and blasted that i should not disconnect the call and now she will transfer the call to other team member who will help me to reach Western Union money transfer. By this time i was sure and i headed straight to the Police station. Lady over there told me this is a scam.

There was one UK BA office also, they also said its a fraud and gave me help line number of UK BA. UKBA , told me to report this incident to Action Fraud that i did.

Interestingly, again i got the call this time it was a guy with Asian accent, i spoke in hindi . that i know its fraud and i have already given there number and reported this to Police.

In next minute, i got the call again and this time it was Mike(Michael), he said he is calling from Met Department, regarding the report that i have given.

I told him that i cant be police , moreover he is calling from same number from which i was getting call. First he said, some times due to Technology failure bla bla, number can be same this and that. Then , he said he will call me from different number so that i believe its indeed the Police who is calling. Then he called from number 01000 000 and asked me if i know the name of the person who was calling.

I just got saved from becoming the victim of this fraud.

One of my colleague who got call on last Monday, they have the name of some Mr. Patel, in Delhi and told her transfer money to him.

Request all to report such kind of Incident to Action Fraud. Its online as well you can call.They will give one Case ID and Password also to update the details later.

One more thing, moslty Students and People of Work visa(Tier 1/2)from India are getting such kinds of calls.

Today I got the call from unknown number and they said we calling from UKBA and you need to register CISA number when you came from india. And asked me to transfer 320 £ . In western union money transfer.
they said tomorrow morning 10am will call you nu.

Guys I got a call from the same number and the caller knew my details. I told this to hr who reported this to the police.

I filled in my wife's visa application just a day back in Pune which had all the details .Would someone from the visa centre have leaked my number? I don't think I gave this number to anyone.

Got a call from 02070354848, be careful. This is a scam. This is  UK GOV visa and immigration number but the fraudster has plagiarized the number to show it on your phone. The guy's name was John Feeder ( so he told me) and he was shouting at me to get me into internet to verify my details when I said no he asked me to confirm my date of birth! Worrying part is he had my right date of birth. Please do not entertain the call and disconnect. This is a scam and they will cheat you. I have called up UK visa & immigration and reported, they advised me to report it on crime stoppers website.
