Report a phone call from 01614767250 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- CherylI had 22 missed calls in just 4 hours. rang and spoke to a manager, they basically were not helpful told me i was lying about how many calls and then had the gall to "thanks me for my time" and hung up!

- SusanThis number is NOT CHURCHWOOD. The police are now involved. Some guy in London has hooked up a phone directory through Voip and is making these malicious calls. If you email churchwood they will explain, Ofcom know and so do Virgin whose number is being used.
- TLook yea it is them coz they call me today and i spoke to them about a loan thank you very much which is a SCAM look [***] u are in there wit them trying to chuck us off track I DON'T THINK SO u really are a dumb [***] as you think we can be fooled by YOU ??????? if it is true lol lol lol give us a crime ref number then (although you will add a fake one lol)
- Caller: churchwood finance
- AnonIt is *definitely* Churchwood. The phonecalls started 5 minutes after I put my number into their website.
No malicious anonymous London gentlemen are involved, just a really dodgy and aggressive company.
If you are receiving these phonecalls, tell the Financial Ombudsman. They seem to be using dialers, which I believe are illegal in this industry. - JosieThis company is indeed Churchwood Finance, I have received so many calls from them over the last few weeks. I have asked them to take me off their list repeatedly but instead of doing so, they only call me more often, over 10 phone calls today alone! Surely this is harassment!
- Caller: Churchwood Finance
- Mel FoxI think they got my number from Moneyexpert.com - I rang them on their freephone number 0800 280 0051 and told them I haven't made an application for a loan from anyone and don't intend to. The CS person took my postcode, name and phone number and said I'd be removed from the calling list.
I don't think it'll take too long to see if it's worked, considering I'd had 3 calls by 11 o'clock today!

- KarenPlease see below email I sent to Churchwood - It's disgusting - A joke
The following telephone numbers 0161 476 7250 & 0121 476 4696 & various mobile numbers have been contacting me up to 8 times an hour from 8.30am to 9pm @ night except on a Sunday
I understand from a website called ‘Who calls me’ that these numbers all belong to your company.
However, when I answer the call the caller hangs up or occasionally loud jovially swearing can be heard.
Please remove my number from your database
Any further calls will be logged and if harassment continues I shall seek further advice from Ofcom – Up to 150 calls in 48 hours is disgusting- Caller: Churchwood Finance
- LauraI applied through a few loans via internet high street lenders and got declined..... Next thing Im getting all this numbers calling me - this one in particular! Infact I left my phone in my bag at work and in 50 mins I had 21 missed calls!! Eventaully I did speak to one guy who said my loan has been accepted and gave me a ref number and a phone number to call - may I add at £1.50 a minute! I did not phone and had no intention of.... Anyway last night at 6.00 I stupidly answered again to a very rude guy questionning WHY i hadnt phoned the £1.50 a min number to accept my loan - also very oddly asking me to quote my ref number back to him and the phone number! WTF.... I have so had 11 different numbers call me... I have phone 7 back so far and gone absolutely spare that they are hounding me with texts and calls!! I always made sure any online applications I ticked the box to opt out of any 3rd party calls.... So how and why is this happening?! I have found that answerering the call and hate to say it being brually rude seems to get them off your back!!
Saying that.... Its 8.30am and I have had 2 missed calls and 2 texts from other numbers!!! Grrrrrr - annonThis number has been calling all day, no one there when you answer, its even called after 9pm tonight, and they hang up if you call them back!
Look these people are never going to stop if all we do is complain on a webpage, EVERYONE needs to submit a complaint about them to the ICO at http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/privacy_and_electronic_communications.aspx
make it formal and get these nutters shutdown for everyones sake. - Mike KSince having registered with www.creditexpert.co.uk I have been inundated with calls from the numbers 0161 476 7250 and 0161 476 4696, both belonging to a company for which all I can establish is they call themselves Churchill Financial. A google search produces no results other than a USA based company of the same nature.
I have requested that they refrain from calling me, however the calls persist. I have called them back on both the numbers I have received calls from, spoken to a 'Supervisor' and attempted to request that this company refrain from calling me only to have the call terminated.
Therefore, I have now logged a complaint with both the Telephone Preference Service, or TPS (I am already registered with the TPS and have been for some time), and also the Information Commissioner's Office, or ICO. I would urge you ALL to do the same.

- Max SOk I got in the club as well. 10 calls starting from today. As soon as I googled the number this website popped up. This is really pissing me off. I called them back this morning, to see who it was (I deal with people in manchester, and the number seemed to come from there), the guy asked me my postcode, which I gave him, and he said "uh no, we haven't got any record of people living there, it must have been a mishap, you won't receive any calls from us anymore".
Then another 9 calls came in. One ring then hangs up. It's pissing me off!!!- Caller: Churchwood Financial
- Mike KFurther to my last post, which I posted at around 22:00 two days ago, just after I'd completed the complaints forms with both TPS and ICO, I have received this folowing reply from TPS. (I have blocked both my surname and the name of the sender of the email for privacy purposes.) Although it is only 9:22, I have yet to receive a call from these w**k**s this morning. Normally by now I would have received at least four. Also, I only received about 3 or 4 calls all day yesterday...
I have since my last post also discovered that although these f**k**s identify themselves as Churchill Financial, the could actually be Churchwood Financial...
The email was dated and timed as sent as 30/09/2009 23:50. Appears, so far, to have worked...
"Dear Mr ****
Thank you for your recent communication about the unsolicited direct marketing telephone call you received on your Telephone Preference Service registered number.
Unsolicited telephone calls are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 which are enforced by the Information Commissioner's Office. The attached fact sheet briefly explains what the law says.
We will now contact the company that called you to ask them to investigate your complaint. We will also tell them to suppress your number so that they do not call you again. The calls should stop within 28 days.
But in the unlikely event that we are unable to resolve your complaint and the organisation does not stop making unsolicited telesales calls to your TPS or CTPS registered number, you should let us know by completing the complaint form online at www.tpsonline.org.uk.
We will check your complaint against any response we have received from the organisation that is calling you and consider how best to resolve this matter. This may involve referring your complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (the organisation which enforces the law on unsolicited direct marketing). Please see the enclosed fact sheet for further information.
Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention. We work closely with the ICO and the information you have provided will help us and them identify those organisations which are persistently making these types of calls and take action where appropriate.
Yours faithfully,
****** ********
Team Leader
Telephone Preference Service"- Caller: Churchill / Churchwood Financial
- Mike K"Dealing with unwanted telesales calls
This fact sheet explains the law regarding uninvited telesales calls (or ‘unsolicited direct marketing calls’) and describes how we deal with complaints about them.
What does the law say?
The law says that UK organisations should not make unsolicited direct marketing calls to individuals or businesses who have registered their telephone number with the Telephone Preference Service or the Corporate Telephone Preference Service.
The law applies only to organisations that are based in the UK. If a UK based organisation uses an overseas calls centre to make unsolicited direct marketing calls, then the law will apply to them. But if an organisation that is based overseas makes such calls, then the law will not apply.
The role of the Telephone Preference Service Limited
The Telephone Preference Service Limited (TPSL) runs the telephone preference services. We keep lists of the telephone numbers of those people who have told us that they do not want to receive unsolicited direct marketing calls.
Companies that make unsolicited direct marketing calls must screen their marketing lists against the lists we hold, so that they do not use numbers that have been registered on the preference services for 28 days or more.
What happens if I have a complaint about unsolicited direct marketing telephone calls?
If you believe that an organisation has contacted you even though you have been registered with a preference service for more than 28 days, you should complain to us by completing the relevant complaint form.
We will check that you have been properly registered with us for the appropriate length of time. If you have, and where we can identify the company responsible for the call, we will write to them about your complaint, ask them to investigate and remind them of the law. We will also ask them to make sure that they do not call you again. In most cases the calls will stop after 28 days or less.
If, however, the organisation continues to call you after 28 days have elapsed, then you should write to us again, including details of the additional calls you have received. We will check your complaint against any response we received from the organisation that called you and consider how best to resolve this matter. This may involve a referral to the Information Commissioner’s Office .
The role of the Information Commissioner’s Office
The Information Commissioner’s office (ICO) enforces the law on unsolicited direct marketing.
The ICO’s powers are designed to encourage organisations to abide by the law rather than punish them and in most cases, the ICO handles complaints informally and successfully. But in those cases where an organisation persistently ignores the law, the ICO has powers to take more formal action, which could result in a fine by the courts.
Co-operation between TPSL and the ICO
TPSL and the ICO are completely separate organisations. The ICO does not run TPSL but they do keep in close contact with each other.
Every month TPSL sends the ICO a report giving statistical information about the complaints they have received. The ICO uses this information to help further identify organisations which are persistently breaking the law.
Please note that the ICO and TPSL do not have the power to fine companies themselves or to award compensation to people who have made complaints."- Caller: Churchill / Churwood Financial
- RachelYesterday I was getting calls all day from "UCC" on 01252555029 who then started texting me too, and today it is "Churchwood" on 01614764696 and 01614767250 who are constantly ringing and texting. I am not answering in the hope it will stop, so annoying.

- Jane D.I am so sick of this company. They having been calling us for 3 weeks solid now. At first it was around 15 times a day. But now it is a little less, one evening they were calling every half hour for 5 hours and unless you pick up on the first/second ring there's no-one there. The first girl I spoke to after a couple of days said they use automated diallers and they don't know who they are go to be speaking to until they get someone to answer the phone! I told her we weren't interested she said it was my husband who made the enquiry (not an equiry clicked a link on the creditexpert site) and they can only speak to him because of the data protection act!! I managed to answer it again on Saturday and spoke to a man - told him we weren't interested in any loans - he got very nasty and agressive with me so I called my husband and he told them he was definitely not interested and not to ring again and to remove his details from the database. Came home from work on Monday 8 missed calls from 01614767250, and the same everyday this week. We are already registered with TPS but because my husband used a link from a website they say we made an enquiry - I suppose they have already done a credit check too! Data protection - what data protection?

- Max SGOD MAKE IT STOP! I'm so annoyed by these f**kin c**ts you have no idea. Never registered on any confused.com or websites like that, ever, and it's been going on for two weeks! At least 20 times a day, they call me, I talked with 4 of them, told them in any way, from kind to wrath-of-god mode, absolutely no change, they just keep on ringing and ringing, always one ring then they hang up, if I pick up the call I leave them there for a minute, hoping they'll stop, but after one hour they start back again. O2 won't bar calls, I registered with the TPS service one week ago, and there are no improvements, wtf is a citizen supposed to do to get rid of these bas***ds?! I don't wanna give up my phone number because of them, so many people has it, and I use it for work as well. My iPhone can't bar calls client-side, unless I jailbreak it, which i don't want to.
I'm SO fed up!!!! :/ - SteHad this number ringing me all morning, along with another similar number. The last call i anawered and a possibly indian youth asked to speak to my partner (he said her name!).
I said rather loudly and abruptly - ''NO, she died yesterday! [***] off!''. - Another brick in the wallJust to add my voice to the chorus of voices already decrying these clowns.
In my case, the calls started today (14th October 2009) and I have so far had eight silent calls from them. They're calling my office number, which I don't routinely use for anything personal and when I called them back to complain, they refused to disclose how they got hold of it.
In fact, they claim it's not on their database at all.
And yet the calls continue.
Bunch of useless w*nkers.- Caller: ChurchWOOD (not Churchill) Finance
- mr common senseif you are on TPS why would you put your number on a website??? if you do that you are giving a company your number so you give them the authoity to ring you.
TPS means that they can not find your number but if you give it away you are asking for trouble
