I had a call - answered it thinking it was someone else...

when I answered, my phone rung and it said  something about Claims Advisory Service.. I hung up.

Thanks everyone. I have had several calls and I have answered but everytime they call I have been to busy to get any documents. They are phoning back later this evening, think I will be telling them where to go!!! They are very persisant!!!!!

its all about PPI

Just received a call from this number literally minutes ago. They said that i could be owed up to £1500 back from a ppi on my Car finance. They asked me for my ref number, which i said i didn't have as i was at work.
He then put me through to the financial company who i have my agreement with to get the Ref number and said he would phone me back!

I probably would have gone ahead if i hadn't come on this site!

Thanks fir the info.  They have just started ringing me (despite the fact I have been TPS registered for about 18 months now..).  3 times so far this evening and when I answer, they don't even talk to me.  If they keep ringing, I'll just fill in the complaints form on the ofcom website.

got called from this number a couple of nights ago and they said i had taken out a loan with payment protection and that they could claim me some money back,when i insisted that i hed never had a loan they put the phone down pretty quick and i thought something wasnt quite right.they just phoned again tonight but i missed it and when i tried phoning back i just got cut off.thats what made me type it in google to discover this.im kind of hoping they will phone back so i can find out more and then tell them exactly what i think!

received several calls from them today. Asked them to stop calling me. did it work? NO. Had some very rude agent who got aggreesive. Therefore making me react. He then advised me he would reoprt me to the police for MY behaviour.....Harrassment charges is what they will be getting if they dont stop calling me!!!

I was called by a no win no fee company, who said that alliance and leicester missed sold me loan insurance, and they can try and get it back for me. he will send me out a package all i need to do is read it carefully,sign it then send it back and they will do the rest, they will call me in a week to see if i have received the package and if i have any questions i wish to ask them. they seam genuine but so does every one, who can you trust.

Someone from this number left me a voicemail by mistake. Sounds like a call centre. Probably yet another were-you-misold-your-loan lark. Where do they get my number?!

I've been called from this number roughly once or twice a month for over a year now, always asking for a person called matthew. I keep telling them that they have the wrong number and that perhaps this 'matthew' gave them the wrong number by mistake. I was assured last time that i would be taken off the call list, but was just called AGAIN, and when i explained the situation and asked to not be called, the guy on the otherline just briskly interrupted me with a really rude-sounding' thanks' and hung up on me!

I had a call a couple of weeks ago from the same number, calling themselves a claims advisory service.  They wanted loan details from me, which I did not have.  They have since called me everyday, 4 to 5 times a day, and everytime I ignore it (and as previously mentioned if the call goes to voicemail all I hear is background noise).  After reading this today I decided to tackle the next call - the caller was very aggressive and wouldn't accept that I was just not interested.  I think I made myself clear and asked him to remove my details from their database, so we shall wait and see!  As the saying goes: if it's too good to be true...

Recieved several calls from this group claiming to be,well - Claim Advisory Group, they told me they had had my details passed onto to them, well if that was the case why did they have details of mine 7 years old? They wanted my new address but of course I wouldn't hand them over. At this point she started trying to stress how legit they are and that my bank had pass them my details to assist my claim...Hmmm you do the maths.
