called me when i was at the clinic with my son i said im busy at the clinic please call back in an hour when they call back i will keep them on the phone for as long as possible! will annoy them by saying no one ever calls me so nice to hear a voice see what they do!

just called me on homephone, then immediately on my mobile, how the hell did they get my numbers?

Just had a call from this number, deffo ppi rubbish. She gave me a name and I told her no one by that name was at this number. Which is odd as I've had my number for 2 years or more and never had issues. I have personally worked for a company like this and it's usually numbers sold to them. You will be pleased to know I promptly left after finding this out. Don't agree with it. Next time they call ask them if they are registered with the ministry of justice as all legit companies must be and say the FDA to them. You'll soon weedle them out.

WTF i was just on my laptop with my phone in my pocket, as a normal 13 year old would do, and i get some phone call asking for my mom on MY PHONE, i'm like wtf, asked 'sorry who are you?' they said it really fast, but i caught 'lumm' then something else, couldn't catch it, but i mean com'on man, i'm 13 who the hell are these people asking for me and my mom...God damn >:V

Also to add they may say they are the claims advisory group or something but they tell you in the call centre to say it. It's likely the call centre itself is just using the name. The company they say are is likely just an affiliate. The companies themselves would never cold call the way they do.

I've had a few calls from these guys over the past 4 or 5 days. I told them in late April that I had never had any PPI on any financial services that I'd used and that seemed to stop the calls. Obviously however the message hasn't got across.

They'll be getting a complaint next time they ring and I answer.

i just had the same call for exactly the same amount of money £1500 refund regards to the bank loan ive had and paid off, never had a bank loan!!

Three times today they've called me - next time I'll pass them back to themselves by suggesting they call 01619390436 - pity I won't know if they do!

Ive had quite a few calls from this number to my mobile.Like many people I tend not to answer calls from numbers that I arent stored in my mobile as I use it for personal contacts only, so my philosophy is that if your number isnt stored in my phonebook I dont know you and you have no business calling me. What I found interesting and quite worrying is that despite adding this number to my call reject list, I continued to receive calls from it. It seems these people have a way of bypassing such mobile facilities...

Anyway I eventually called the number to find out who it was and what it was about and as with Denny, I was told that it is a company that would like to assist me with reclaiming of PPI that was mis-sold to me with my mortgage. I told them that I dont have a mortgage (which is true) to which they replied that it must relate to my HP purchase of my Laptop. I then told them that I paid for my Laptop in cash in full and didnt have any HP purchases against my name at all, which is also true. I purchase everything cash as I believe that if I cant afford to do that then I cant afford the item.
This is definitely some or other group of marketing chancers but what I will say however is that contrary to Denny's experience I found them extremely polite and they apologised for taking up my time. I simply asked them to remove my number from their system as I do not wish to recieve any further calls, which they agreed to do and advised me that it would take 24hrs.

Personally I have no issue with people/organizations trying to canvass business but I do believe that they should take No as an answer and cease to plague and not use covert means when their number has been blocked.  I suggest that anyone who has such calls and does not wish to continue receiving them does as I did and simply calls them to request that they remove the number from their system. Bear in mind that it only takes a polite request to avoid rudeness and achieve co-operation from their side.

As merlin said being polite is the best way. The person on the other end of the phone usually isn't aware that you may have had multiple calls. Often it is down to miss sold data wherefore number has been repeated with out their knowledge.

Very suspicious.  Had a similar scam call only days ago from another organisation.  As soon as I said this is clearly a con, they hung up on me.

Several missed calls then unfortunately answered one!
This type of rapid fire pressure telemarketing should be stopped by bodies like the TPS & FSA, incredible that companies like this still exist.
They do not listen, even when they have been told politely the first five times that their PPI service is of no interest, seemingly they only employ people whose sole motive is to complete the pre prepared script in an agressive and patronising manner try asking to speak to a supervisor / manager, rapid evasion tactic!!

Rang back the number - appears to be an outfit called The Claims Advisory Group - found their web site, think i will contact the Ministry of Justice to thank them for regulating such a bunch of rude and arrogant idiots who use such dreadful tactics.

They ring off a normal landline so will call them back. When you do they answer "The Claims Advisory Service - Probably the same people who keep sending me a text saying I'm entitled to £3500!

Received a call last evening asking for someone of a different name.  Told them that they had the wrong number but they persisted with the call saying they were sure I had taken out loans in the past.  I stopped them and asked how they got my number.  They said it was in their database.  I said 'please remove it' and told them I would take further action if I received any further calls.
They continued with their spiel. I said I was not interested and hung up.

Register your number with TPS. Once your number is registered unless you have specifically given permission for a company to ring you anyone ringing a TPS registered number will be warned and then fined if they do it again.

I just had a phone call from this number,they said that i can have money back from loans i had,they said they going to send me information pack,i have to read carefully and sign and return to them.They were very polite and talk to me nicely,asking for my adress and telephone number,my loans references(i didnt say to them),on the backgroud was a lot on noise,crying children,people talking,that made me think that its very suspicious.They said to me that they advertising their service on tv(i rerely watch tv)so i dont know who to believe and these phone calls are so annoying.I dont know where they take my number from and i dont know how to stop that.I really want these things to stop,because everywhere only scams and you cant believe anyone!!!!!!!!!

Keeps on calling my house line...who is it and what do they want....

Called my mobile number wanting to speak to my son.  How did they get MY mobile number as it hadn't been given to them.  My son has not lived here for years.  They called at 1718 and were told they had the wrong number then they rang again at 1856 !!!! Perhaps in those 98 minutes, they forgot!
