Phone rang-when I answered it went dead. Got number from 1471 - who is this?

Just received a call on my ex directory line - "This is Chris from Key Retirement Solutions". I asked why he was cold calling me on an ex-dir number registered on TPS. He said he wasn't cold calling, just following something up. He then asked me for my home address and postcode to verify who I was!!! Yeah right! As if I was going to disclose that to someone I did not know! I didn't wait to find out if he wanted my bank and passport details!

How genuine are they are ringing our TPS registered mobile asking for someone we have never heard of and saying that we have completed an online form - we haven't - nor are we old enough to retire.  You can't even submit a form unless your dob is pre 1959!!!!!

Asked for me by name but got it slightly wrong, when I asked who was speaking she hung up.
I am TPS registered but recently enquired about annuities so I now know this is linked.

Please can you confirm who  telephone number 01772508308 belongs to.

Well Bob from Key Solutions, if your representitive of the type of 'consultant' from your company,clearly you need lessons in customer liasion and spelling.  I enquired through an on line form, just wanting some information and I'd no sooner pressed the submit button than my phone rang with your Preston number. As I guessed who it was and did not want to be bothered, I didn't answer. The phone rang another five times, all in the space of four hours, on different numbers from Key Solutions. Can't you understand why people get annoyed. If I get another call today the language is going blue and if this is the way you pester your clients to part with their money - stuff you and your Key Solutions where the Sun don't shine !

Key Retirement Solutions. I  did an online calculation with them for equity release. The calculator (which is only a rough guide anyway) will not give you a result unless you enter your name, address and phone number. That's why I get plagued with calls from them. I have a TruCall box which intercepts unknown callers and allows blocking of numbers. But they call from different numbers each time. TPS won't block them if you've voluntarily given them your number. There are people, of course, who use false numbers when online forms require one - and sometimes those false numbers turn out to be real numbers for some unsuspecting member of the public. So if you're getting unsolicited calls, someone may have randomly given your number to them. It's probable best to speak to the  and ask for the number to be removed, without giving them any further personal details. They are very persistent!
