This is another link that may be of interest, Lifestyle Claims are one of the few companies registered on the MOJ website as legitimate, I've known people with claims there and that seemed tog o smoothly enough, just depend how you deal with it I guess.

Got a phone call from an Indian guy that had the wrong name. Told them to get lost. Ended up blocking the number in my phone.

These calls maybe annoying, but if you take the time to listen to what they have to say then you will eventually get money back from banks and lenders. Trust me :)

Actually they are an utter scam. I've discovered that you can do it online with Which? for free and get 100% back, thus avoiding losing the cut these Lifestyle characters pocket.

The Stantons appear to be operating their company cold-calling spam database without a data protection registration.

Searching on http://www.ico.gov.uk/ESDWebPages/search.asp yields no results

Yet the ICO says:

"Notification is a statutory requirement and every organisation that processes personal information must notify the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), unless they are exempt. Failure to notify is a criminal offence."

Does this mean that they are criminals?

Just got a call from this guys. So rude, when I asked twice for the name of the company and what they did she jsut hang up! I'd say they are just SCAMMERS!!!

type in thier license number which is CRM16588 and they will come up as client connection ltd, a fully regulated company who have been authorised since the 01/12/2008. Lifestyle Claims is just they're trading name! if you took thinks a little bit more seriously instead of bursting out laughing you might of been treated with a bit more respect instead of getting hung up on!

Yes they are committing more than one offence.  The Solicitors Regulation Authority governs claims handling firms.  They have a legally enforceable code of practice that forbids cold calling.  

7.03 Unsolicited approaches in person or by telephone

You must not publicise your firm or practice by making unsolicited approaches in person or by telephone to a member of the public.

It is worth reporting EVERY call of this nature to the Legal Services Ombudsman, as they do take action against these scam artist.

I just got a call from this number, I said hello then all I heard was "I'm gonna kill you" and ten they hung up. In all fairness it didn't sound like the voice was talking to me but it still isn't very nice.

My elderly mother received a call from David Rees yesterday (6th July) Ministry of Justice and all sorts of reassuring Licence numbers etc. "Just give me the long number on your card so we can get everything set up" When she refused they put the phone down on her. Ghastly people ,ready to take advantage of vulnerable and.elderly people.
