Just had the repeated calls from this number. (Please bare in mind, im only 21!)
They asked if I wanted money back from finance that I was owed due to new legal acts being enforced for people who were wrongfully charged.
So I said 'like on my mortage?'
She said 'Yes, how long have you been paying your mortage and how much?'
I said '25 years now at £500 a month'
She said 'yes we can help you with this, i need to take some more details'
I said 'Who don't know nothing about me or the loans I have do you?'
Call appruptly ended.....

I have not received a call from this number but I have had to make quite a few international calls, you can break down where this caller is coming from by looking on line for International Country Codes ie;
01 = what you have to dial to get a call going from the U.S. to another country.
7 =  Probably the Country itself
9 =  Would be the City or Region of that Country
rest of the numbers would be the phone number to the business or person calling you.  Sounds like the far east to me, I wouldn't bother they a pain in the butt and trying to get any identifying info they can out of you so they can steal from you.  

If it were me, I would feel free to use "whatever words seemed to want to flow out of my mouth at them" what can they do about it?  Call the cops!  :-)

EXAMPLE:

(01) - Access to outside the United States
(7)  -  Country Code for the country the caller lives in.
(9)  -  City or Region Caller lives in.
(276-3490)  Callers phone number.

Sometimes the phone numbers for say Taiwan have 11 numbers or more - I have had to omit numbers off the end usually but once off the beginning to get the call to process to where I was calling... so antiquated over there!

must have had about 50 calls on my mobile from this crew.don t answer numbers i don t know.will be contacting my service provider to see what they can do about it.disgraceful..

They have called me twice today. I ignored them because I didn't recognise the number.

They have just called me on a private work number that is not listed!  How the hell are they getting peoples numbers, surely there must be someone who can stop them!!!!

Have told them they're being reported for not following TPS protocol.

They couldn't give a toss...

they rang me for the the 5th time in a week, so i talked for abit but at the same time lookin for a porno on my laptop. I asked them to wait a min played the porno an let them listen to the whole thing. They havent called again this week an it thursday now

Can only repeat what everybody else has been saying, repeated missed calls, when I do answer, same old "have you recieved your blar, blar forms through yet, said very quickly so you can't tell what they have said. I say over and over again I have no idea what they are talking about and I am not interested - persistantly asked if I have credit cards, loans etc etc - I say no to all answers and asked to be removed from their list. I don't suppose this will have worked, but I live in hope. Obviously a scam, but is it exploiting a legal loophole?

Not only did I receive (an unanswered) a call on my mobile from these people, less than 30 seconds later they called my works mobile number as well! Not many sources of information have both these numbers so I should be able to find out who is selling on my details.

never heard from the company yesterday now they wont stop ringing twice in ten minutes wont take no for an answer definately welsh  definately annoying

This no keeps phoning my phone and wont stop even when I tell them to.

I had a call from this number yesterday and had a feeling it was from a call centre (deduced by the long pause before they said anything). I normally try and avoid answering such numbers but thought it was important.

I tried to nip the conversation in the bud when the operative said "how are you today?".

I replied "sorry, I'm not interested in what you have offer and don't want to get calls like this."

To which the thoroughly irritating operative replied:

"how do you know?, you don't know what this is about"

This repeated a couple of times before I hung up. Arrogant operatives like that really get my goat. What ever happened to 'the customer is always right'? Unbelievable. Discuss.

this number keeps on callin me about 6 times a day even if i answer they dont even say anythin, they even call as late as 9 o'clock at night, what a joke

This number keeps calling my 11 yr girl!!!!!! not gonna get much money out of her now are they?! but this doesn't stop them from phoning

Keeps calling every week two or three times a week, during work hours. Sometimes no one speaks when I answer the calls. What is that about??

The code has nothing to do with the structure supplied, it's not an american number, there is no such thing as a county code in the UK.  It is just an area code. The 'actual number' for our international friends would be (00) +44 1792 etc.  From the states it would be (01) 44 1792

I have also had several calls from these rude Welsh gits, definitely not the far east!

i wish this company who is callingh me on this number would leave me alone

Just got a call from this number not sure how they managed it as I NEVER give my numbers out but they called my house number and when I didn't answer they rang my mobile literally 2 seconds later ... No joke I told the guy where to get off well racked off at which ever scum bag has sold my details on !!!!
