We have missed 2 calls from this number today.
Thanks to everybody we are now well aware of what to do.

This number called me and said that they were Santander. They asked for me (under my maiden name) and then asked for the first line of my address and postcode. I asked how could I know that it was a genuine call from Santander and they just said, "I can confirm that this is Santander" and kept saying that he needed my address for data protection. I said that this was not enough proof for me and that I wasn't happy about giving my details when a) I didn't know what the call was about and b) I had no way of confirming that the call was genuine.

I said I will call Santander back and he hung up. Very dodgy.

I do not wish to receive calls again from this number.

Judging by previous comments, these idiots are HomeServe (the people who flog insurance for utilities - and often include a flyer in water bills for those still recieving them in paper form).

I'll go by for months without a call, then they'll engage on a week-long campaign - the latest being earlier this week, when they called eight times in a four hour period. They don't usually leave a message, but they tried calling a few minutes ago and left a pre-recorded message (on my answerphone - so the two machines were talking to each other...) advising me not to be alarmed, but  no-one was available to connect the call, so in order to comply with UK regulations, they had to leave a pre-recorded message instead. This claimed the call originated from 08451 469372, yet caller ID informs me they actually called from 01922 420057.

Stop calling my mobile phone number..Had about 9 calls today, go to answer my phone but hunf up before answering.  STOP STOP

I know that this is Homeserve as they have been calling me for years and I once made the mistake of answering it. Thank heavens for caller display.

They usually call when I am at work but they have never left a message on my answerphone before today when I found a string of expletives.

Not a company with which I want to be associated.

I have been getting 5 calls per day at regular times.The first time I answered I was greeted with silence. The 2nd time I left the phone idle for 25 minutes and they were still there when I put the phone down. The are as annoying as hell. I am X-Directory too and BT don't give a sh*t.

Is their number a premium rate number? Wouldn't mind calling them back to tell them what I think.

Just had a call....rang their freephone 24/7 number and had myself removed from future calls.  Number to call is 0800 247999

I thought it was bad enough getting their begging letters every week - now they've managed to find my work telephone number.
The girl must have been entering a 'World's most aggressive telemarketer' competition  - I was trying to be polite but as she got more and more insistant I ended up having to put the phone down.

10 calls in three days and counting

Got my first call two days ago, picked up and they stayed silent then hung up. I searched the number a google brought me here.
I have only just discovered that with my phone i am able to block incoming calls, so blocked the number. Have just checked my call list and they have called 12 times within 2 days since putting the block on.

If i didn't have this option i would be fairly annoyed by now!!

caller said it tastes horrible on the tongue, it is better to swollow, I hung up!
