They have called me about 6 times in the last week and always ask for a different name...If they are a serious company why would they keep ringing people they don't even know the name of??? Surely it is a scam!

They called me and asked for a name that is not anyone who has ever had this number or lived at this address. I phoned BT because I am registered with the telephone preference service and they suggested also registering with another service--the silent call service--on 0870 4443969.

Homeserve, called me and will try again later.

Oh great, thought this had stopped months ago and i got a call from them today..

I used to get calls all the time, day in day out from these guys but noone was ever there!!! really annoying, we are with tps and still get them.


If anyone knows how to shift them please post..

Yes its Homeserve. I was a customer of theirs and left. They are obviously looking to recruit me again. They are a large reputable company who got me through a flyer that came with my water bill.If you are interested in that sort of thing, I had two call-outs in a year, and found them to be very good - and no I dont work for them!!

am with the TPS, yet they called 3 times today already..if this is homeserve..will not have anything to do with them out of principle as it shows what a sleazy organisation this is.

if these are legitimate calls why do they not leave a message on the answering machine explaining who they are and the purpose of their call leaving contact details,

then you know who it is, and if you want to call back, fine, otherwise they should get the hint and leave you alone

Whant them to stop calling

These idiots call me 4 or 5 times a day, phone rings once then rings off. Have they not got anything else better to do than hassle me and my disabled parents.

We get this phone number calling and it won't stop

Called and hung up after I announced my name.

No one there when answered

This number has called me every day for the past week at least and has called me previously to that as I saved the number to investigate it, it is boardering on harrasment in my opinion, what can I do?

Had two calls so far, the last being monday 7th April, no one ever talks justs hangs up, what a waste.

This number keeps calling me but I miss picking it up each time and no message is left

the person was really rude... youngish lad.  I forget the company he quoted.

Sec 1 Protection from Harassment Act 1996 - Go to your local Trading Standards Office run by local council. They will take out summons against them. Log all calls and anything they say. Dates time and what they say are good evidence at court. Don't be frightend to go to court everyone there will be helpful and on your side.

I have just rung the emergency number and waited until it went through to an operator. The lady has now ticked my boxes!! whereby we will not receive postal or telephone 'pestering'. Hope this works! Watch this space!
