Bought a Glow worm boiler back in Feb 2009. They keep calling me offering a pricey extended warranty!

Stop pestering people if I need it I bye it.!!
But not from cold callers....Full stop

When I answered, the man knew my surname and said he was calling from Santander, could I confirm my home address and he would then tell me why he was calling.

I said I dont have any Santander accounts so no, I wont tell him my address - he said "Is your mortgage with us?" NO I replied, and hung up.

What a con to get more personal details from me. Do Santander allow this or is is nothing to do with them?

I've had this no call me intermittently over last few months, again today on my mobile. Reading this thread glad didn't answer but wonder 2 things; how many older less savvy people receive call & part with personal detail or worse cash......and secondly these threads start from 2008 so how can a company still behave in this way with no governing body or watchdog involvement?

6 times today and over 25 calls in the last week. Not happy

Hi I had a call from this number today as Santander, they seemed to know all my business, and were trying to sell emergency home insurance for £1 for 3 motnhs then £11.49 thereafter, i was in conversation with them, and when i mentioend id rather tehy send to me first, he jsut said have a nice evening and hung up!

Regularly call 3 times a day. I am registered with telephone preference service, thats a waste of time!
Could be because I buy online from Argos

they are phone sales operatives trying to sell water insurance drains or any electrical iteams you may have washing machine shower t/d dish washer any think they work on more they sale more they get paid

They rang me claiming to be Santander, i infact work for santander and when i told him this is threw him a bit. And i asked him to confirm my address as he was calling me, he then hung up.

Have had 18 calls in total from this number - they went quiet for a while but have now started calling again.  It's quite good fun to answer the call and then just leave the line open so you can hear them going "Hello?", "Hello?".... Wish they would just go away......

This lot keep calling me claiming to be Santander.

Today the guy asked me for characters from my password which I refused to give me.

I didn't think i was a Santander customer, but now I see that Alliance and Leicester has been taken over, so I suppose I am.

He wouldn't tell me why he was calling which made me very suspicious

TPS is a waste of time as companies don't adhere to it and they never will unless they get closed down for it, this gets anoying and very iritating to answer the phone and no one's there, what i tend to do it if they don't answer on the first "hello" then the phone gets put down.

They keep calling me asking for mr moss (not me)...I keep telling them they have the wrong number but still keep ringing!

they said that they're from Santander... straight away asked my address and date of birth - I've never had an account with Santander! Must be a SCAM!

Very rude people. He called me on my mobile phone and spoke very fast with a far east accent that I could not get at all. Then the cheeky bustard asked me to hand my phone to someone else who could understand English!

I have had several calls from these people and on one occasion they told me they were ringing from the catalogue.  Today they said they were calling from Santander.  Asked me to confirm my address which I started to do until I changed my mind and asked what is it about, as I dont even have a bank account with them.  He started going on about I must have insurance or a mortgage, but not wanting to tell them I asked what is this all about and he carried on and ignored me.  I asked if it was a courtesy call and he said yes its a sales call at which point I hung up.  I am fed up of these calls which happen several times a day so I have added to my reject list so will no longer be disturbed.

I have just had a call from them, but this isn't the first time. One day they called me 23 times one after the other, I was ignoring the calls, now i answer them but don't keep the phone to my ear or say anything..... hopefully they will soon get the message AND STOP CALLING!!!!

got call from them. I answered, they never spoke. Just silence for 40 seconds.

Received a call from this number today. I chose not to speak to see if it was a voice activated call. A woman said Hello, but as I did not recognise the number I never answered and she hung up.The sheer number of people reporting this number requires further investigation. I will answer next time and ask who is calling.

This person called today saying they were Santander, and asked for my wife. She was out, but called back at 7.45pm. and again said he was from Santander, but tried to sell us Homeserve Insurance. We have had dozens of calls from this company. Are they part of Santander. Incidentally, this number was different from the the other number when he phoned earlier.
