said they're Gecko Direct asking me about my company mobile phones

Rang but hung up when I answered.

Copany called Geko, called me, did a deal on mobiles, hate cold callers, but these guys were professional, and actually delivered what they said they would

The usual; I dash across the office to answer the phone, the line goes dead. I tried 1471 and the line was in night service but the announcement said they were Gecko Direct. I contacted Gecko Direct in Leeds and they denied any knowledge of the call. They are, however, a direct marketing company so it would figure that they might be using force-fed turrets in a call centre to make unsolicited calls. These make 6 or so calls at once and the first one to answer seizes the line and the other 5 drop out. They really are a bloody nuisance, especially as we are listed with the Telephone Preference Service and the the Fax Preference Service and, as a sole practice or partnership it is illegal to make unsolicited calls to us anyway.

I was getting sick & tired of seeing this number as a missed call every time I got back to the office. Now I know who it is I'll add it to the list of numbers not to answer (thanks to this site!) so I won't waste any of my valuable time. Unlike 'Vince' I'm not in the league of being able to save £250 per month!!(can't imagine how a phone bill could even reach £250 a month let alone be in a position to be able to save that sum by switching providers!!!!!)My mobile only costs about £250 in 3 years!!

This number has called 4 times today, and rung off before I answered, I wont be ringing back!

I had a call from this number and i answered it - the person hung up - thanks for the information - I have added the number to my 'reject' list now

I spend £5 a month..(thank you Skpye) how the hell could you save me £50 per month! unless you're gonna give me some cash!!

I've had several of these calls too, but I can't understand the point of phoning and hanging up when I answer...what good is it doing them anyway?

First time I've had a silent call from this number on my business line - it broke my train of thought and put me back a good half hour... what do they gain??????????? My number is also registered with the TPS - some good that seems to have done. Annoyed of West Yorkshire!

Telephone upgrade company, another number added to my phonebook as a spam, so next time I will just cancel the call.

Second silent call (see previous post) - this time rang them back and a message said offices were open between 9 and 5:30pm - It was 5pm when I rung them! They cant even get their own office telephone system working correctly, so would never buy any telecoms from them!

I would suggest to others that may read this - PLEASE report them to OFCOM... the more reports of problems, the higher the chance of getting these annoying calls stopped.

Knew my name somehow and said his name was Richard from Gecko and that they'd spoken to me last year. I've only been set up in this office since June so I didn't even exist on this number last year but before I could call him a liar the line went dead.

What exactly are you trying to achieve Richard. Moron.

Received call from someone at Gecko who knew my name?  Could tell it was a call centre environment then got cut off.  Don't know what he wanted and don't care to be honest.  If trying to sell something then I'm glad disconnected the call.

They rang us 5 times, I rang them back and they firstly claimed they were orange then said they are a dealer.
