- DominicMust get a call every other day from these idiots, never any one, just silence.
Cant these get shut down! - BillyThey are also using 01952602281 now as well, why would you wind up business customers by plaguing them with silent calls or quick hookups.
I am always looking for a good deal especially in this economic climate but as a matter of principle I would not deal with a comms firm who seem to have no subtlety in their own use of comms equipment.- Caller: Gecko again
- Annoyed!Hi
I get daily calls from this company both from 01952602281 and 01952602280. It has been going on for about three weeks. It is Ghekko direct and they are trying to get me to buy mobile phones from them. I have insisted that they remove me from their call list as we are registered with TPS - I ask this daily. Yesterday the woman laughed at me and said it was my problem and that the place they bought the list from wasn't registered with TPS. Today they asked for me by name and surname and I do look after the company mobiles so their info is right but SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO annoying!
When I avoid their calls I get several calls a day from them so its easier to just take the first call, moan at the person and then they don't call again that day.- Caller: Ghekko Direct
- Annoyed!I've just called them back and asked them to remove me from their call list. The woman laughed and said she would talk to IT. Somehow I doubt anything will be done.
- Dave CarterLots of feedback here guys, and something for me to take into account.
However, I would say our route to market is mainly via telesales and we make as a business 3Million calls a year, I employ 200 people, across 4 sites. It is never my intention to annoy - why would it be? We purchase good quality data, my agents are scripted, the telephone system we use has the correct configaration for silent calls and dropped calls, and all data we call is TPS'd. If anyone wants to be removed from our call list drop an e mail to dnc@gekodirect.co.uk. This will be actioned in 48 hours. Competitors excluded. Regards Dave Carter, MD and Owner of Geko - Graham, PD Transport| 13 replieslike many others obviously, wish I'd seen this site before I'd been unfortunate to have dealings with Geko. gave me the spiel about saving me lots of money on my company mobile bills & seemed professional enough, eg called back when they said they would, put quote in writing showing savings on my current minutes & texts plan with free calls between all company phones etc. agreed to move my phones from tmobile to orange with geko as looked like would save me money plus wouldn't cost me anything to move as they would buyout balance of my tmobile contract & do all the work. shysters put me on 3 separate orange venture plans so instead of bills of £350 as promised bills are now £800 cos we are on 3 separate plans and dont get free calls to each other like we would on 1 total plan. plus still owe me for buying out my old tmobile contract as martin, my account manager said had to use my credit card as account was in my name but geko would reimburse me if i sent them an invoice. well that was march and still waiting for after sales to call me. told b*****y orange the full story and that I was witholding payment of their bills, still waiting for them to call back and my phones have now been cut off !
anybody got any advice, apart from a visit to carter towers ?
oh yes, if they do call you ... run for the hills ! - Fed up with Geko| 3 repliesOne to watch out for!!! If you do end up listening to Geko and going for their deal you will discover that the cashback offered to reduce the line rental to their magical figure is only for half of the contract duration, after this they promise a tariff review when in fact you are locked in to the tariff they put you on. I was promised a line rental of £285 but lo and behold when I didn't want any additional lines at the contract review I was told there was nothing they could do and now my line rental is £400!!!! Have involved my solicitor. Funnily enough they don't call me anymore

- Unknown| 2 repliespeople are just doing their job - it's called sales, they offer a great service and there are more happy customers than unhappy customers!! Rather then being rude to them why dont you just ask them nicely to take you off the dialler (which will be by the way automatic and not someone physically ringing your number). Working in sales must be hard enough - think how you feel when someone is rude to you in your line of work!!!

- RichardWe have been called by these people everyday for the last week regarding mobile upgrades. We have asked to be removed from their calling list, it seems they are unable to do this.I have spoken to Scott, a manager, and advised them that I will do a company search on their company and start calling their Managing Director on his home telephone number so he gets an idea of what cold calling is like. It ties up my staffs time and my time getting these calls. If Scott reads this and I hope he does, stop calling us we are fed up with hearing from you. If we want a mobile we will go to a Vodafone store we do not need you to help us. Your customer feedback is appalling.

I would hate to come across your guys Customer Service!!! Whatever happened to live & let live! These guys are just doing a job the same as yourselves & they have a huge database of happy customers that genuinely wouldnt go anywhere else. They are probably just to busy to start a web page on it lol! I dont work for Geko & i dont have a contract phone either, i in actual fact work for a competitor & we do not take ANY business from them. It is annoying getting calls when no one speaks - that will be the dialler i would imagine - but give them a break, maybe Karma will kick in & the next door of opportunity wont be slammed on your business ;-) ps - almost everyone that mentioned poor grammer & bad spelling spelt stuff wrong in their post! ouch!! dont you hate it when that happens x - sam wtoo busy - not to busy lol!
- Meganif you ring O2 or whatever network you are on which they say they are authorised by and the network says they dont know who they are it is because it is written in the company smallprint and not every worker for that network is made aware. I went into an orange shop who they are mobile business partners for and the guy who spoke to me knew exactly who they were. I am sorry to say but I was on the of the annoying callers as I worked for this company and they only aim to save people money as they were under the impression that times were hard what with the recession etc but people who say they dont have time for cold callers etc obviously dont have time to save money and they ring businesses due to the fact that they appreciate people dont have the time to always shop around. it is exactly the same as when you renew car insurance and you shop around I am sure to save time you would be happy for someone else to do that for you. i find it funny that most of the time the PA's and receptionists we speak to speak to us like dirt and i am sure most of them would get the sack if they heard how the spoke to us or even answered the phone not knowing who it was on the other end of the line plus most receptionists or PA's seem to think it is their job to cost their boss money by not putting us through. do they not realise that hanging up on the caller will just make us call back and try again?! it gives us more determination and if you still not interested we laugh as the recession etc obviously isn't something that bothers you and neither is saving money. Please just give them the chance, you may have had a bad experience in the past with cold callers but not everyone is out to get you, some people do genuinely want to help but your not making their job easy. and if they couldnt succesfully help they wouldnt have 4 sites around the UK and would not have been running for nearly 10yrs and making a profit each year!
- Don't Buy from GEKODIRECTI had the misfortune to get a contract from Gekodirect. The phone did not work as they told me it would, so I sent it back within 7 days, All OK - but then I kept getting bills from ORANGE because i had had the SIM card. I NEVER made any calls, but because I had the SIM card for a few days I get charged £15 quid! GEKO refused to listen to me and kept telling me I had to pay Orange. They refused to acknowledge that they had mis-sold me and they refused to sort out the problem with Orange. Eventually Orange agreed that this was a 'Catch-22' situation and agreed to cancel the debt, but it took a number of calls and a discussion with a supervisor.

- Andy TI get calls from these idiots all the time. They now use mobile numbers as well for instance 07792 499318. They tell you that they work for Vodafone my phone supplier and then ask when my contracts are up I tell them if they work for vodafone they should know and that tends to baffle them. Complete numptys.
- Justin CaseThe directors home address and tel number are published at Companies House - it'll cost you a quid to get the info http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/1dbb398db0b ... cprodorder?ft=1
You can also download their accounts - EmmaWe have been called on an almost daily basis by various staff members from Geko for the last six months. They are told every time that we are not interested in their service and asked to remove our details from their database. Given the previous comments I now understand why our requests to be left alone are totally ignored. Surely it is a waste of their time as well as ours to keep calling - unfortunately we don't get silent calls, there is always someone on the line to go through the same pointless sales pitch!
If they think that ongoing and constant interruptions to my day are going to make me change my mind then they seriously need to revise their training policy, or maybe just develop some common sense!- Caller: Geko Direct
- davidthey got me a good deal, my sales man tom rang me the other day and told me i got a free phone coming! top guy good service! reminded me otherwise i would have forgot! nice people! no complaints.

- DamianThey call me everyday on a number (very expensive number to call) that I do not use any more. hope it's costing them lots of money.
- unhappy & worried customerHi I was called over a week ago by Richard who seemed very nice and said he could get me a good deal on my 3 mobile phones as I was unhappy with Vodaphone,(how do they know this?) I told him I was looking at a deal on the internet where I would get a free PS3 slim, he said if I took my 3 phones over to Geko I would recieve this gift and Geko would buy my contract of vodaphone for my remaining 2 phones it was going to cost me £30 a month more but I was moving to orange getting lot's more free mins & unlimited texts so I agreed thinking the PS3 would be a great xmas present for the children, the phones arrived the next day (I HAVE NOT OPENED THE BOXES) the PS3 did not, Richard told my via e mail that I had to invoice him for a PS£ on company letter head and then they will send it out at the beginning of December? now they are hassling me for the signed contract so I can get my PS3 and telling me I have to use the phones in order to recieve the Free gift, they were supposed to of arranged porting of our business telephone no from Vodaphone and this has not happened I feel I am going to be stuck with 6 mobiles, I am sending the unopened phones back in the morning recorded post, I have contacted my bank to cancel the DD and I hope this will be the end of the matter, It is hard sell and what they say they will organise and do for you does not happen, I will kepp you informed of waht happens upon teurn of the phones,
PS I am concerned as I have 7 days to cancel but they don't try and port your no till after this so you don't know you have a problem till it's exceeded this deadline, it is now 10 days inc weekend.- Caller: Richard Geko Direct
- AnonI have been duped by Geko Direct they misled me throughout and now i'm tied into an Orange contract costing me nearly £300 per month. Orange have been no help whatsoever.
The deal is a 24 month deal and they will save you money in the first 12 months. They don't let you know that the deal is done retrospectively as in Orange bill you as normal and Geko make payments into your Orange account.
Only they stop making payments after 12 months. So yes in the first 12 months I saved £10 per month. Now i'm forking out £200 a month more avoid like the plague.- Caller: Geko Direct
