THEY ARE ALSO CRIMINALS THAT MISUSE THE TELEPHONE SERVICE BY THEIR SILENT CALLS AND OTHER UNLAWFUL ACIVITIES SUCH AS ASKING A NAMED PERSON TO BE BROUGHT TO THE TELEPHONE DESPITE THEIR NOT KNOWING WHO HASANSWERED THE TELEPHONE IN THE FIRST PLACE OR INDEED WHO THEY HAVE REACHED. MANY COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM ARE BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE AUTHORITIES.
IF YOU GET CALLS FROM THESE CROOKS INFORM OFTEL, THE TELEPHONE PREFERENCE SERVICE, THE POLICE, B.T. AND ANY ONE ELSE WHO HAS INTEREST IN PROTECTING PEOPLE'S PRIVACY AND PROSECUTING WRONG DOING

this number keeps on ringing me, at all hours of the day and evening. nobody speaks when i pick up the phone, it goes dead and they don't leave any message. i have a serious illness, and cannot easily get to the phone. I find it really worrying. I don't want to ring them back incase its a scam and i end up being charged extortionate amounts for doing so.

This company is SRJ debt collection, and will call usually in conjunction with sending text messages from "SRJ". They are a debt collection service for companies issuing utility bills such as British Gas and Wessex Water.

These gits keep calling.  Luckily I'm out otherwise I would be really annoyed.  Had 1 left message........very strange it was a woman's voice and she just said "62".  Mad.  I thought the Meaning of Life was "42".

SRJ, automated voice, asking to pass the phone on to a person, doesn't give an option to say that that person doesn't exist at this number. Calls mornings or afternoons, any day of the week. Used to send a text message every day for weeks.

How do I make them stop calling without giving out my full name?

SRJ Recoveries Ltd are not bailiffs, they are a run of the mill Debt Collections Agency, their parent company is Frederickson Int.Group.  Yes, they push the boundaries with unethical & unprofessional behaviour and have no regard for the OFTs guidelines on debt collexcting. Having said this, they can be dealt with.

had yet another call from 02031478620 asks for somebody by surname who i don't know automated service asking person to press numbers. I would not mind but i am surpossed to be registered with the TPS service does not seem to work

Nuisance Telephone Calls
I keep getting messages, virtually daily, often in person or by recorded message asking either to "Speak to Mr Burton" or else silent calls which promptly hang up when you response.
The telephone number calling is 02031478620, and nothing will stop these nuisances, despite my having registered a year ago with the telephone Preference Service.

Report them to the Information Commissioner's Office.  You should also report them to TPS as you are registered.  TPS registration only works with reputable companies, rogues and overseas companies ignore the rules.  However, just registering does not stop calls, you need to report them to TPS.  If we dont report them TPS doesnt know we are getting them.

Every day I get a call from these people.  No message, just a missed call.  I only answer calls from people I know - I urge everyone to get a called ID phone and do not answer if this number appears

If you get a call and actually speak to someone refuse to confirm any address or personal details as they cant speak to you without confirming this due to data protection......they soon give up calling.

This is yet another low life debt collecting business using automated I.T. systems that call u at ridiculous times day and night.....they use this to profit from bullying people with words like URGENT AND PERSONAL MATTERS they purchase debt for a very small amount 7-10% of the original amount then pursue you for as much as they can......
as many say on this site ignore them they are NOT bailiffs merely a business growing on people's fear of debt www.direct.gov.uk advises to pay debts at the rate of £1.00 per calendar month and due to the countrys economic downturn firms like these are thriving.
The time to worry about debt is when official papers arrive from the county court, however judges are only human and will only make orders to pay that are affordable and suit the debtors circumstances, so if you own a ferrari or a rolex you may have to sell it ! if you know what i mean !
REMEMBER life is short & and theres more to it than MONEY........

Keep getting automated calls from this firm asking for someone I've never heard of. I'm not in debt and haven't been for years. I too am with TPS and wish they would eff off!
