called back and a message said "you have dialled an incorrect number, please check the number ..."

I got rang by 02033089000 3 times
didn't get charged

I had a call tonight with some random person saying call me.. Weird...

Why don't you guys listen? It's literally, just a reverse call.

Its 0800-MUM-DAD.
Its a reverse charging service for mobile to mobile.

I also managed to use it for free as I had no credit and it bills you by sending premium rated messages AFTER the call.

I had a call from my brother and I recieved a message after the call saying Sorry, a service you ordered could not be delivered due to insufficient funds.
How good is that????!!!!!!!

Got a call from this number on my mobile.  It rang twice in quick succession.  It caught me unawares, I answered in a busy shopping street, heard this automated voice but couldn't understand it because of the background noise.  A few seconds after the second call started, the voice abruptly stopped and then said the person trying to contact me had hung up!

I have no idea who was trying to contact me or why!

Got a prank call from this number in the middle of the night.  It's a service called 08000mumdad which lets people get hold of you if they've got no credit on their phone, essentially for emergencies.  You are then charged a premium rate when you accept the call.  I guess it does provide a service of sorts but is clearly open to abuse, as in the phone call I received.  There does appear to be a solution though.  Their website has a contact us section and if you explain that you are receiving unwanted calls, they will block your number from receiving any further calls or messages.  I sent an e-mail this morning and a reply was waiting for me when I got home.  It looks to me like they are a genuine service provider but in the same way that you might get prank calls on your ordinary home phone, I guess there will always be idiots who don't use it for the purpose it was meant for.  So, I hope that's an end to post midnight calls but if not..........I'll let you know.

This number calls me constant, and it is really p*ssing me right off, no one is ever there when I answer.

This number called my contract mobile twice this morning at 12.47am........... didn't answer due to being half asleep but no messages were left.

Got several calls from this number, think it a scan. just dont call them back.

I have been having this number calling me for the past month or 2, its every night between 1 o clock and 5 o clock in the morning contiuously ringing about 15-20 times. I have got i touch with vodaphone my network provider but there is nothing they can do.
When i answer it is from the service 0800mumdad, but they just tell me that i cannot take any more calls from people using this service, but when i wait and listen for the name of the caller its just a tapping noise.
This is absolutly doing my head in and im sure there is one way that it can be stopped without me having to change my number!
Please anyone, any suggestions ?!

i have just received 6 calls off these guys, i didnt answer because i thought it was a london code & dont know a single sole there....my curiosity got the better of me and i rung the number back, it said it was not recognised.now im rather confused....some people are saying its an 0800mum&dad number & others are saying its a scam,does anybody really no? but most importantly is there antway of getting them 2 stop ringing us,especially when we'r the ones being charged for it, i think thats down right discraceful,how are they getting away with this????the tossers!!!!i'v been reading all the comments on here and am so shocked by it all,one lady said they was going to call watchdog about it, i think thats a wonderful notion and i'm going to do the same,lets atleast get a show out of this, everybody whos had this problem should phone up watchdog,so come on guys get dialling before we get anymore charges and huge bills,lets act now!!!!!

Over the last 2 weeks Ive had more than 30 calls normally in batch's of 8-9 calls at a time one after the other.
