Yeah its 0800 mumdad thing,

This number phoned me last week at 2.01am 8 times scamming c***s!!

These people rung my daughter up at 4am on friday night she said the man kept her talking for 14minutes he was saying various things like he loves her and wants to take her on holiday and give her 5 grand. I just called her network and the call came in at 93 pounds 18 pence i am fuming

AHHHHHHHH this is really doing my head in. The person doing it knows who you are and are really anoying twa*s. If you dont pick up, itll keep ringing and ringing then will send you a voicemail. best thing to do is call your service provider and block this number or just dont pick up the person will then know you not bothered. The numbers just another 0800 reverse

Yes it is a form of 0800 reverse but you get "this person is calling you" you then get what I call a distressed voice though not audibly clear - you are then told it will cost £1.50 per minute, thats when I hung up.

I received a notification of a request for a reverse charge call on 12 August 2009, it switched to another voice that I didn't recognised (was quite muffled and could also have been recorded, I hung up

same here i got two calls last night, at 2 in the morning it worried me a bit cos i couldnt understand who it was and never had any credit to let them talk, im 8 months pregnant and finding it hard to sleep anyway but when u get woken up with a shock call in the early hours of the morning its really annoying, the voice is muffled and sounds like its recoreded or the bloke is drunk!!!!
ever since i joined up with sky i have been getting weird calls from scammers anyone else had this problem?

Basccly 11:35 pm, this number rang my number so it would ring 3 times then it would hang up, it repeated this dialling mode 4 or  times.

this number rang my phone at 12:18pm today my daughter who's 4 answered it and spoke to somebody its a greater london number but i tried to ring it back and it comes up invalid number.. is this a cold caller?

called me once, didnt pick up, have no idea who it is and im not on any contract...im a tmobile pay-as-you-go user.

its that 08000mumdad thing that's been advertised on the telly recently! don't bother, unless you're a parent. just ring them back normally!

It called me EIGHT times in the middle of the night... next morning try to call back and there is no such number... I'm gonna try and block it.... does that work?

Just rang my service provider after reading up everyones comments. Thy are looking into the situation for me. I have to ring payphone plus to let ofcom know of the situation. I will keep you posted.

If you get calls from this number ignore them. Get straight onto the phone to the billing department of your service provider. Let them know of the number and situation and this website!
They can get a team to look into it and block whoever is behind this dupe stopped from using your network provider not only savin you but every other consumer. They can also remove charges from your account if this number does come back as a scam. Very nice to know i think.

Like i said. Im with orange and theyve been more than helpful. My account is being looked into and these guys too. Also getting my number changed which is a small inconvenience for the payoff of getting rid of these losers who pray on young children and there naivety.

My advice to everyone is to avoid this number and dont pick up at all. And make sure you let your service provider know as soon as possible. This way we can get this problem and sorted quickly as possible and no one else need be scammed.

had a call from this number stating my daughter wants to reverse charges thinking something was wrong at 12.50am I accepted when I got through no-one was there! I called my daughters mobile which went straight to a/m so had no choice had to call her at home...woke everyone up and lo and behold all was finewho is it thats doing this stupid thing and what is it going to cost??????

had this call me last night about 6 times, but the end of the line was blank and like everyones said the numbers not valid when you try and call it back.

I just phoned up vodafone and they said i hadnt been charged, so just going to block the number so it cant call again

If this is a scam, someones getting rich of this, very smart, and probably not even illegal

just had it and dont know the name they said, leave it!!!!!
