- Carter replies to OctaveSamuel, after reading Austin's review its all clear.
Nothing to be judged upon. No need to write "looks like" it is actually a scam against http://www.thesupportonline.com - Matt replies to Octavewell octave, i did not find any scam in this detail , what you want to prove
- suzi replies to Zilogajust look at the Austin's review http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/02033188706 , it proves that the support online is not a scam and i also contacted them about their services and find no probs.
And i am not getting your point "Look at the flash images of children" , it's your point for a website to be scam . The Support Online a reputed online tech support services provider as fas as i have seen .
thanks, - OctaveDon't want to prove anything, just that you can actually find out who registered a particular site and this might be a way to track down who's running that sort of scam ,the registration may totally legit of course... but if you start plastering the info of someone who's obviously running some sort of scam all over the internet they may get a little uneasy, although here it is clearly a PO BOX so not much help. You have to be as smart as those scammers...
I contacted verio inc who hosts www.comstep.com yesterday and pointed them to this page and www.comstep.com seems to have disappeared today... or at least I can connect to it. Strange No?- Caller: comstep.com

www.thesupportonline.com is listed in the thread below.- Call type: Prank
- Matt replies to OctaveAfter seeing many threads against the support online and also Austin's positive response http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/02033188706 ,that proves that there is something going wrong against the support online .
keith response in this http://www.digitaltoast.co.uk/supportonclick-systemrecure-scam , looks like again a scam against The Support Online . - Suzii am agree with Matt, something going wrong with this reputed company , i don't know why someone is doing such type of dirty things . It is already proved by Austin that someone is doing scam against the Support online .i am using the support online services for a long time and never find any probs .
- OctaveWell Matt, Suzi (or shall we call you Austin)
Thesupportonline.com is the same as comstep.com, strangely enough comstep.com keeps going down the other thing is that the AlertPay account for comstep.com has been suspended (I wonder why???) and when you go the payment process for thesupportonline.com it clearly says ComStep.com as well so the two are obviously linked and the phone number is also the same...
I run a web-site and one of my users was contacted by the above companies stating that all the contents they had downloaded for my site contained viruses which is utter non-sense as I am responsible for the contents posted and it is thoroughly checked, and then that person was sold an antivirus solution for £85 which they didn't need and their card details probably stolen during the payment process as they were also asked to download teamviewer and told their computer would be scanned etc...
So I find it very hard to believe, Comstep.com, thenerdsupport.com or even thesupportonline.com are genuine tech support companies, they're just making money off the back of people who don't know a great deal about computers etc...
So trust any of the above you shall not!- Caller: thesupportonline.com
- Hulkhey Octave!!
With that kind of a reply you can not be a sad octogenarian who is living off his retirement or ARE YOU??? hehe (pun intended)
AlertPay Suspension!!!
Frequent Name changes!!
Site downtime!!!
Detailed analysis of the payment process!!
Boy!! You have done a great bit of research. You qualify to be an ACE PI. Close the website and look into this alternate for quick money... lol
I don't understand why you have collated all your research work here. If you are that disgruntled why not approach the authorities and report the company in question???
I don't give a crap If compstep, supportonline, or nerd s, etc. etc. or whatever!!! are one company or multiple ones... If indeed they are playing foul have them reported to the law enforcement agencies...
What I don't understand is why are you writing all this crap here????
I think you are working for some cheap company and targeting this company for purely selfish motives.

- PeterBYes, I got it yesterday. Indian man from 'Support On-Line' which was later altered to 'Technical Support On-Line' who told me that the reason he know I had computer problems was due to a vodafone chip in my laptop which informs them of problems. Oddly, I had recently installed (and it IS actually causing me some problems) some vodafone software for my BlackBerry....... spooky.

- Bob100| 1 replyI have been contacted by TheSupportOnline today. I can assure you that their claims to know that I have viruses on my PC are completely false. As a Senior Manager running the tech support desk for a major UK ISP, I know when I am being conned. They directed me to the computer maangement windows logs, and claimed that the alerts and warnings logged here was proof that my PC was infected. On the contrary, all errors were application based, and most were caused by Apples Bonjour software. None were as the result of a virus. This, therefore, is simple scare mongering to people who do not understand this. When I asked how they collected data "broadcast" from my PC, without my ISP or Microsofts knowledge they were not able to enlighten me and eventually hung up. When I called their desk back and asked for a copy of the information they had reveived stating that my computer was infected, they hung up again (twice).
If you are contacted by them - do not follow their instructions. They have no information and are merely speculating for business. I can assure you that our security department will be contacting them shortly.- Caller: The Support Online

- KarenI've just got off the phone from someone who said that they were calling from thesupportline.com The girl (indian, I believe) who phoned said that they work with microsoft and that the report logs had been forwarded to them, and that she wanted to help me deal with the problems via teamview. The computer is brand new and I thought that perhaps my husband had arranged this support.
She passed me on to a man (Indian,Ibelieve) who said that The computer was in a very bad state and could crash any minute, also that the security system in use was not good enough, but for £110 per year they could provide support. Then it went down to £80 then £40. Niggling warning bell sounded so I said I didnt have any means of payment, he suggested that I ask a son, friend,or neighbour to come over so I could use their credit/debit card!!! At that point the niggling warning bell suddenly got very loud so I declined their services. He says he will phone again on Monday.
I've since found this site and having seen what everyone has been saying on here, I want to know if they can still gain access to my computer and what mischief they can get up to. I am so beating myself up for being taken in like this.- Caller: thesupportline.com
