- Doctor Q| 1 replyTrying to sell lottery syndicate for £44 per month, as soon as I said I would rather spend £44 on bills etc she hung up. Nonsense callers - Now been blocked by TrueCaller - great iPhone app and it's free.
- Suzan| 2 repliesThis is another number that has been calling me with ridiculous offers¬ it is a scam!
Last two days these numbers were calling my number, asking for my husband!!!!
This particular number says is from TD European Services, was an unprofessional lady with a noicy background, so i tried to find out which company is she from-she was shouting, asked her what is this about she says "competition" when i asked more details she shouted again " competition" and that she can give details only for my husband
told her to call back in one month...
useless people¬! i am sure is a scam!- Caller: TD European Services-SCAM!!!
- Call type: Prank
- Margaret replies to RACHELSimilar scenario to Rachel but I did not enter a competition although the caller insisted I had. She knew my name sure enough. She skipped over the prize I MIGHT have won to promote this lottery scheme. I could have a load of lottery tickets for 5p each for the Euro draw each week and share the prizes I was very likely to win as part of a syndicate. Next stage she asked for my bank details. When I said I wasn't interested she hung up. Let's hope this is the last I hear from these cowboys.
- gwh| 1 replyCalling me every day without fail, even on weekends. How long before they give up!? never answered.

- MacBraveheartThis number has called me a few times and I have never picked up until now. Indian lady asked if I was such and such and I asked her to identify herself first. She did, and very quickly so I couldn't quite hear (but it sounded like "BeeTee" as in British Telecom, but wasn't) and then asked me to identify myself. I asked her WHY she needed to know and that is when I was told I had won an iPad from a competition I entered.
She quoted an email address at me which I recognise so it is possible that I did one of those daft online things you have to do to click away a window when accepting their "partner" services. Meh.
Since I have had some VERY bad experiences with Asian call centres for BT of late I was in no mood to speak to her and told her that she must have a wrong number.
At this point she just talked over the top of me telling me that that didn't matter. Well- it does to me. I hung up.
Pity- wouldn't mind a (free) iPad...
But ask yourself this- would a genuine prize draw/competition spend days telephoning you? Of course not- they'd move on to the next name out of the hat. ;)- Caller: Sounds like "BeeTee"
- Call type: Telemarketer

- joanne| 2 repliesHad loads of calls from this number, had my laptop on when i received one of the calls and got her to spell out the company name. seems its a company called 'dtd european services' and they've changed their number from 08448802598 as there is LOADS on here on that number. One address I found for them is 273 Region Streen in London W1B 2HA, although the website states a different one. Claimed I'd won something from a competition I'd entered online, don't remember doing this but the call cut off halfway through anyway.
Here's a link to their website: http://www.eurochance100.co.uk/cgi-bin/lp.pl? ... 26&file=faq.htm
I cannot find ANYTHING positive about this company, my advice steer well clear!- Caller: DTD european services

- Bucklersbury replies to joanne| 1 replyThis is a simple carrot and stick. They phoned me to tell me that I was in the final 3 of possible winners for an IPad. Because I was in the last three I was also being offered a unique opportunity to join a syndicate of just 100 other members. This syndicate would buy 1500 or1800 Euromillion tickets per month each member paying £44 a month.
It is not a scam it is a sort of pyramid. They try and sell the illusion of that unreachable million pounds, well to get my million the syndicate would need to have won a 100 million, to date to my knowledge no syndicate has come forward saying they have one the big one, its usually some bloke who only bought a one off lucky dip to shelter from the rain whilst waiting for a bus. They do want your bank details as they collect the £44 by Direct Debit. The are a pain in the a*se I for one am not good at sharing I would rather buy 22 tickets per month just for little old me. :-)
