Don't pay anything, don't get involved and stay out of this part of the business.  Contracts are useless and it is really not worth the grief.

I had a call from a gentleman named Jamie he was very polite and explained that although they could not directly find my son work they could put me on the right path and give me the tools needed to potentially find work.
my son has recently had a test shoot and London fashion studio and i am very pleased with the results he has been asked to take part in a campaign for H&M following the success of hes portfolio. Just shows if you spend the money you can get results

Wouldnt be suprised if this is all false,and you work for them,and just been told to come on here and tell more lies.Lets see if we get a reply

Sounds like they are Jan the add I've got is 67 great Titchfield street london .If you put it in to search on the Internet that's where all the scam things show up.

Can ask Terry where did you go for the shoot because I was told company was called the fashion rooms and we were meant to go next Saturday.

That is the same adress i went to but to be honest i wasnt forced into anything i purchased the images on my own accord and i got results for my son if you are serious about getting modelling work then it is worth getting a proffesional portfolio

The contract you have signed is most likely false and therefore you should be able to get all your money back, however will need to look at the contract in detail.

I paid a £50 booking fee for my son to attend a test shoot on Wednesday 4th November. We went down to The Fashion Rooms, Titchfield Street where we were told he would have his hair and make up done.
The make up area is shabby, and not very professional. The make up lady just dusted some powder onto his face and off he went for some photos. Half an hour later we were taken downstairs into an office where I was pressurised into buying a £3000 portfolio. When it was clear I wasn't going to pay this, I was offered a package of £800. The woman doing the pressure sales left me and my son alone "to think it over". At which point I googled the company and found this thread. How gutted was I to have not read this beforehand.
Anyway, she came back in and I said thanks for your time, but we are not interested. She then proceeded to offer us another package for £350. Again leaving us alone in a room "to think about it". I honestly felt I wasn't getting out of there alive. My son and I put on our coats and walked out of the office. She then said in a panic "let me call my manager" and then the phone was thrust in my hand so he could convince me to buy "the student package at £250". At this point I handed be phone back. The whole thing stank of desperation. The fact they kept getting lower with their prices felt like they were just clawing to get any money they could from us.
We left, and it became very clear that their promise of "£50 booking fee refunded when you arrive" is utter bollocks. You won't see any return of a booking fee.
The place is just awful.
Any one who is serious about being a model, look up "top five modelling agencies in London". Places like 'Storm' for example take no money from any model they believe has potential.

I'm so annoyed at myself for going to this place without properly researching the reviews. If I can save someone else £50+ then I hope I didn't go in vain.

Hi Kelly I am so sorry you had such a terrible time I felt the same and we haven't been to the studio .I did some research when the booking confirmation came through. You will cancel the card you made your booking payment with won't you .Every one needs to contact watch dog.

Can I ask in what way has it been a scam for you?have u never not got your portfolio or Web page build up?reason for asking is cause we just paid 700 yesterday for our son and hoping to God it's not gunna be a scam.
If the photos and Web come page came off I wouldn't be too bothered but the fact of nothing I would be upsett for my son
