I live in Sydney and have had 2 calls from this number - 29 Nov 10 @ 6:47pm and 30 Nov 2010 @ 5:34pm.

Called it back both times and the msg both times said 'number disconnected'.
I have put in my mob as 'nuisance number' so I wont answer it or call it back.

Hi Guys, have been getting the same and it is annoying to say the least.  When we answer, they hang up, call back, they are unavailable.  Will be tracking this down soon........

i just got a call from this number as well and as soon as i answered it hung up also, i tried calling back and it said it was switched off ? sounds like someone trying to get access to phones and only need people to answer for whatever info they are after ? should be reported somehow ?

I have had 4 calls from this number answered all 4 no one talks.

It is freaking me out as I've been getting calls from them for a week or 2, including just now... and it's always after noon (4:13pm today) so I am guessing it's from India or somewhere given the time diff!  I am starting to get paranoid as another poster mentioned all they may want is to know we answer... for some sort of a scam!!

And of course when you call back, the recorded msg with the Aussie accented woman says 'the telephone number you have called is unavailable' but that could just be my phone company.

I think I am going to stop by the cops tonight.  If I do, will keep you guys posted on what they say as this is 'uncalled' for.

this is starting to piss my fiance off been calling him all day hung up when he answers and when i called the number was unavailable phone providers wont do anything so dont bother there we are currently on the phone to the police will keep you all updated.

I'm in Northern Territory, had many missed calls from this number in the last 3 days. Actually got to answer it this time. The guy (Aust Accent) said he was looking at a job I had advertised. He sounded like he was interested in the job. I asked if he was in NT, didnt really answer the question. He went on to explain he was from an online job advertising company and they could advertise my position for free. His phone was cutting in and out so it was really hard to hear what company he was from I asked twice, but it was undecipherable. He asked me if I'd like to go ahead with the advertising, I told him to email me the info to my work address, he sounded suprised like he didnt know what to do, after repeating my email address 3 times he said he'd send something and I hung up.
As of yet there is no email, but if I get anything more I'll put it up on here.

received my second call in two days from this number. An asian lady asking if I wanted to advertise my pram for sale (listed on ebay and gumtree) and if I wanted them to list it foer free on their site. I gave them my email but have no email from them yet. Cant get far with just my email now can they lol
wish these silly idiots would go get a real job instead of pestering people with hang ups and stupid telemarketing schemes.

I have been getting calls form this number for a couple of weeks now!! I'm just not going to answer any more really starting to piss me off! They never answer just hang up and when called them back the number was busy!

i have 3 calls in 3 days and as above, i ring backand its engaged or saying its unavailable

ha dont bother with police no use cant help funnily enough not classified as harrasment go figure im starting to ring random telco companies to see if conneceted to them so far rung telstra as thought maybe some silly kids playing pranks on pay phone this number is not connected to telstra so atleast thats something and i am awaiting a call back from telco ombedsmon to see if there is anyway they can help. but this situation is highly frustrating and driving me bonkers and im getting extremely pissed off!!!!

yer i getting calls from this number now. rang up 3 to see what they can do they said need go police to investigate it or 3 can change my mobile number :(

Hi Madmax, could be Bin Laden?!

Me thinks it is Google getting people to use it as there is a lot of flak going on at the moment with Google and competitors.........don't worry Madmax it is just a media/advertising campaign to see who would use Google to look the number up.......if we had Reverse Phone Search here in Oz we could get the number like they can in the States but the Oz Govt. won't allow that as they like to Restrict and Control us.  Wish someone would set up a Free Reverse Phone Number Search overseas so the Oz Govt. couldn't close it down.  Then we could all access and use it.

Yes,  they are getting the numbers from eBay or Gumtree or other online advertising site. We should feel sorry for them because they must be really bored and lonely.  Perhaps they should ring Lifeline or something to chat to someone for company.

Go do another Google search and you will find all/most of the search sites that WERE on Google have now disappeared and there is only a couple of sites left to go to for checking this number. This means this person/s are really computer geniuses. Perhaps they are the same people that messed up the NAB computer system. Wish I was that clever!!!!!!
