    Annoyed
These jokers are still around calling. Simon Quinn and Insight are like oil slicks, they make a mess and damage the environment and never go away in full.

I received a call from these jokers, I heard the 'F' word being said, his I assume to the person sitting next to him, and was hung up. Most likely he was chatting to the person next to him and simply hung up when my call came through. But I caught him swearing before he hung up the phone.

You have this person Elle writing stuff on here from customer service. I suggest you ignore anything she or anyone from this company says. Clearly they are lead by a person who says one thing, but has proven to have the morals of a grub.

I have done some research on this company. Over the past 8 or so years it has gone into administration at least 4 times. Simon Quinn simply goes into administration and changes the name of the company.

Early on in this company he never even paid superannuation to his people, which lead to the company going bust, changing it's name and simply continuing on as if nothing had happened.

I am also told he carried on an in office affair while still married and threatened and sacked people that did not get along with his office flame. Who I believe he made a manager when she had no experience whatsoever.

This company is grubby. Simon Quinn is a grub, any quality people have moved on from that company.

The company has such massive turn over that you probably know someone who worked there is you asked them.

They keep talking about doing good for charities, the people working there might believe that because that's what management tells them, but in reality they are deluded.

I think someone should start a petition at change.org about shutting this place down. The managers are grubs, and the telemarketers would find another job, I mean they don't usually last that long there anyway. So shutting down this place will impact only to a small degree for the majority of the people there. and it might prove a catalyst for cleaning this industry up.

    Australia

Telemarketing in Australia is restricted by the Australian Federal Government and policed by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). Australian Federal legislation provides for a restriction in calling hours for both Research and Marketing calls.

In 2007 a Do Not Call Register was established for Australian inbound telephone numbers. The register allows a user to register private use telephone numbers. Australian Federal Legislation limits the types of marketing calls that can be made to these registered telephone numbers; however, research calls are allowed. Other exemptions include calls made by charities and political members, parties and candidates.  However any organisation that is instructed by the recipient of a telemarketing call, not to call that number again, is legally obliged to comply, and must remove the phone number from the organisations calling list(s).

    EX Insight CFS Worker
I was previously employed by the highly immoral Insight CFS. Basically what the company is doing is cold calling elderly senile Australians and intimating/pressuring them to purchase raffle tickets via credit or debt card for a charity such as the PCYC or RSPCA etc, which cost $1000.00 dollars or less. I am embarrassed to admit that I once worked for Insight CFS, and I feel so dirty. Hangup, if Insight CFS call you.

I work for the company insight CFS, it is a legitimate company, they do fundraising for not for profits. Simon Quinn is the director. The reason people get hung ups is because it takes a few seconds to connect the dialer, and we also get hung up on by supporters.

All the money you give goes directly to the charity, it is the law and you can go to government websites to find out more. The charities then outsource their marketing to companies such as insight cfs, and other fundraising companies because they are more efficient and cost the charities less. Ideally everyone will be donating to charities without charities asking for it but clearly that is not the case. If you would like to see how much of your money goes to actual programs charities run, you can go to the charities website. All the information should be publicly available on their websites.

"All the money you give goes directly to the charity, it is the law and you can go to government websites to find out more."

This is what is wrong with the company and many of the people who work there. What utter rubbish, in the best case scenario maybe 30% of what you give goes to the client, Which is pretty much what Insight gives to their clients.

They sell raffle tickets which is gambling. Sure if you give them a donation, then 100% of the donation must go to the client. But Insights sell raffle tickets, and at best 30 cents in your dollar goes to the charity. The rest pays for the telemarketers, call centre overheads, and yes all the prizes. "even though many operators tell you they are donated."

    InsightFundraiser
Hey everyone, I work for Insight and can state for a fact that it is a genuine fundraising call centre for several charities.
We currently call on behalf of: PCYC (Police Citizens Youth Clubs), RSPCA (Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals), HRI (Heart Research Institute, KidzWish Foundation, Meals on Wheals NSW, The Asthma Foundation of Tasmania and the CCFA (Cervical Cancer Foundation of Australia).

A genuine fundraising call centre will be able to:
    - provide a license number
    - provide the customer service line
    - take you off the call list for that charity if asked
    - take credit card details without the CCV security number on the back
    - identify where they are calling from and their name (and job ID if asked)

If you do not want to give simply say "No thanks, I'm not interested"
If you do not want to be called for that charity simply say "can you please take me off the calling list"
If the agent is rude in any way ask to speak to a supervisor, but if they are busy take down their ID number and the customer service line.

CHARITIES ARE EXEMPT FROM THE DNC REGISTER

With the donating - the money all goes to the charities bank account and then we bill them for our services eg. the prizes and calling costs. There are obviously bad people from call centres (there are bad eggs everywhere), but I know most of the agents at Insight and they are really nice people who would not take advantage of anyone.
    Thanks for reading!
