Yes they strike again! Asked about a tax refund. That's as far as they got here. Smelt a rat immediately.                    Why can't this number be cancelled ?

Call received about a tax reimbursement of $7600. She didn't even ask my name! Her name was Sophie.
Asked me to call 02 9191 9703 to claim the money.

just received a call from phone number 0291919703 claiming to be the tax office with a refund.
When I said sure you are they hung up on me.

Tax refund $7600 Indain accent. Said he was from the Tax Office

Answering machine answers this number 0291919703 every day. And no messages left . Also the phone numbers  0288233052 ,0392649100. Hope they like my answering machine because that is all you will get when you phone here.

Had same thing happen to me saying the tax office owes me $7600 and to call 0261003872 to claim the money giving me a claim number 24475050.s got 2 calls first time indian woman then second time indian man I called them back and asked for there address to hand in forms and they gave me 26 ainslid avenue canberra if only the tax office was this easy to deal with

Abuse them they get so angry he told me to come to india and he would kill me hahahhaha why cant the goverment put a stop to this

Just got the call and exactly the same as the others.  The Indian chick could barley speak a word of English - it sounded like a Mumbai market in the background!.  I told her to call my accountant and she hung up.  

Call me twice today and just hung up got a call from this number few days ago too and the same thing never said a thing just hung up on me

Thx to you guys. same crap from "Victor williams" from 34th ATO section offering $7600 refunds to select citizens.  He told me I should call back later with a better attitude and to be more positive.

He didn't like all my questions.

I just had exactly the same call from an Indian speaking very poor English from 0291919703 offering me $7600 because Tony Abbot is reimbursing tax payers... what a crock of crap. These people are scumbags!

Well they are still at it.
Just got a call from an Asian lady saying I had a refund coming of $7600.
Tried ringing the number they gave me and only got an engaged signal.

Got a call today from a man with Indian or pakistani accent claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office in Canberra. He said (as above), that I was entitled to a $7,600 tax refund due to legislation change, money which had been taken from my pension. He gave me a ref # 2447 5050R and told me to 'immediately' call the tax office on 0291919703. I had to call back straight away! He said his name was Robert Stanley, and not to worry - we won't ask for any personal banking information over the phone..

Called my father claiming he had $7000 waiting for him at the ATO. Dad received a call from a lady first called Veronica and she gave him the above number and said to call the following day. Dad called but after saying he would come and see him at the ATO he replied No you can't refused to give his name out. Dad calls me to enquire about it and call the number, googled instead and found all these messages - thanks everyone!

Called 2:08 pm 13/03/15 Dubbo area. I let all my calls go straight to answering machine. Legit callers will leave a message. Thankyou for this site, I use this to check all these callers now.

Just received a call from this number to my house phone. Lady with an Indian accent said she was calling from the ATO in Canberra and that I would be getting a refund. I knew it was suss straight up as I didn't answer the phone with my name. The call then disconnected.

Had a call from them today saying I have a reimbursement from the government , nice try tho ,
