isa lang masasabi ko.. mahirap magtiwala sa ibang tao lalo at di nyo kilala.. a while ago may tumawag din sa father ko and luckyly i am the one who answered it.. para sa lahat dahil di tayo sigurado kung ano man ito.. "mag ingat na lang tayo" and inform all your friends and love ones para aware din sila.. diba isko!!!?

Hi everybody! I just got a call from this number just a few hours ago. The caller was a girl and she introduced herself as somebody from Metrobank. She asked if I had a credit card with other banks already and I told her that I have one from RCBC but I just got it last April. And then she asked me to send my latest one month payslip and a valid ID to acquisitions@metrobankcard.com. The girl told me that she would be calling me back right after she receives those documents. Stupid of me, I sent those documents through email without bothering to check the phone number she was calling from. I have a scanned copy of my 3 IDs in one document. That document included my PhilHealth ID, my postal ID, and my company ID which even has my TIN number and SSS number on it. Now I feel so stupid and so afraid of what they would be able to do with those documents.
      Miss Anne, have you heard of any signs of trouble after you sent them your documents?  
      I guess this is a lesson learned for me and for everybody. I should have checked the phone number before I sent those documents, not after. I was really just so excited because I've always wanted to have a Metrobank credit card.
     Please let me know if you have any news on whatever happened to those who sent their documents to these scammers.

Me too actually I beleive this is not the first time he called me.. but today he called again oct 22, 2011 and I thought it's from manila.. cause the area code is like 02 and I worked at Manila before so I was thinking that it may be from my previous company... that I'm not sure

I got a call from 1 of the numbers in this thread, and actually got engaged to talk to her and answer some of his questions. Luckily i was watching DVD that time and didn't answer alot of his questions i just said yes or no. Sinabi ko din skanya bakit ko pa sasabihin sa inyo to kung alam nyo naman ang info ko. She also said they will route my CC in my current location(i was actually thinking since our company has a tie up with Metrobank she should have known our building locations) apparently she doesnt know. Well i was expecting a couple of weeks ago the CC to arrive anytime now but a co-worker said to me i need to confirm with the bank if the CC is active if it hasn't arrive yet. I called MB and no records were found under my name. This just bugged me as the #029883400 called again earlier hopefully this is a good indication they did not get enough info from me.

got a call today 25 nov 11 1500H from (02) 988 3400.. he's calling on behalf of the metrobank .. since i have metrobank account and credit card. i talked to him and offered me policy contract wid benefits...since im not interested and have 3 policy contract already,, i decline, but he insists.. but to no avail..hehehe.. i googled it to verify if it is scam.. after learning this, i called the MCC hotline to check on this. hope this will help

Got a call from Metrobank din early this year. Alam nila na may CC ako from HSBC. Sabi ready na raw yung card ko. kailangan na lang daw i-activate. Meron din daw silang ipapadala na messenger sa office ko and kailangan ng xerox ng 2 valid IDs ko. Akala ko naman totoo so i xeroxed my IDs. Dumating nga yung messenger and may pinapirma sakin na narecieve nila yung documents. Ang nangyari, never dumating sakin yung Metrobank Credit Card. Buti na lang walang na-charge sa HSBC card ko.

Yesterday may tumawag ulit from Metrobank at humihingi ulit ng xerox copy ng valid IDs ko. Nagtaka na ako kung totoo ito kase nagbigay na ako dati pero wala naman dumating. I searched sa internet at ito nga ang nakita ko. Sinabihan ko agad yung guard sa reception namin na kapag may naghanap sakin na messenger from Metrobank, sabihin na hindi na ako nagtratrabaho sa office. Hahah.

Ingat ingat na lang repapips. Decline agad kapag may tumawag na mga ganyan from Metrobank at EastWest bank. Mga scammer sila. Bwiset!

may tumawag din sa akin Feb 29, 2012 same number 3x in the name of Ronald Veloria di ko na sagot then nag google ako ng number eto nakita ko thread. Tapos nag follow-up cellphone naman gamit nag pakilala taga metrobank makati daw and pwede daw ako mag karoon ng 3 supplimentary cards, hindi ko na pinatagal, sinabihan ko na I'm not interested aba binaba agad ang phone!  Eto and cell # baka tawagan din kayo.  0928-550-9360

Wala magawa sa buhay gamitin identity mo mag apply ng credit card then pag na deliver na sa kanila gagamitin maxed-out then wala na. Kawawa ka hustle sa pangalan mo. identity thief tawag doon.

May tumawag  din sakin but not the same numbers as everyone mentioned but the numbers naman ay malapit sa mga numbers na sinabi nyo... I think telemarketers ang mga tumtawag but na confused ako kasi sa dami ko nabasa with regards to this but unfortunately mine is different din siguro kasi I went in robinsons and they have tie up with Cebu pacific miles/mtrobank ang magpoprovide ng card kaya nag fill up ako ng application kasi nothing to loose nmn I doubt nmn na papayagan sila ng Robinson or this kind of scam diba pero I know lahat tyo should be careful...but to tell more story they told me it's a 10 working days to process and someone will call me but it was a month pass when I recvd a call to tell me that they cant issue. Credit card because the recent card I showed them is not reach a year yet so they told me to send documents in case I wanted to have a card so I told them I will think then yesterday someone again called if I'm interested coz the deadline will finished I said I will try but because of the comments I read from here I called today the toll free number then spoke to metrobank agent and ask if they are tie up with the Cebu pacific miles they said yes and I ask her if this email they gave me is true and if it's for metro bank (acquisitions@metrobankcard.com) the lady said yes and told me the promo ends on may if I wanted to send the docs so my doubts are gone...for the people who have doubts just call metro bank toll free number and you will get the answers you need and try to remember maybe you sign an application specially on malls like in sta lucia malls tie up in rcbc bankard or robinsons mall tie up with Cebu pacific miles card..or for those who never apply anything you might referred by your friends so they know your identification already...it's ok to be aware but let's not judge or conclude bad against the caller just hang up if your not interested or say you don't want a card then that's it..hope may nakuha rin Kayo info for what I relay...

If you read through the thread, pare-parehas lang sinasabi and pati mga ginamit na words pare-prarehas lang. In my opinion, sinisira lang nito pangalan ng METROBANK and maybe magkakakilala lang mga nagpopost dito or iisang tao lang. Don't be stupid guys. If you made any transactions with the bank especially those who have given some personal info, then wag na kayo magtaka. DUH!
