0301

Just had a call from 0301 cut it off by accident as I lifted receiver so dialled 1471 and the number was logged with them.  I have the highest grade of ex-directory and also registered with telephone preference service so should't get calls like this.  My phone is with BT

its 8.45pm just had a call  from this stupid number i answered the put the phone down, its about time some one stopped being stupid and pulled their fingers out and put a stop to idiots harrassing people so why cant we get them stopped

I just had one of these calls too. What I do is put the phone on the desk and pick it up every 30 seconds or so and ask them to repeat what they just said. Pretend to be interested by making the odd yes noise and once they are hooked let them talk and waste their time while I walk away.

If I can make them waste 5 minutes of their time it's 5 minutes they are not hassling someone else.

Just had a call from this 0301 number...music was playing at first and then some indian man answered saying he was from a debt advice company. I guessed they were some dodgy company so i told him i wasnt interested and he said 'why are you not interested' so i told him that im not interested in any of his advice and he said' oh my god' so i said what and he said 'forget it' and hung up. Stupid annoying man. Anyone know why they are calling and how to block them?

My first experience of an 0301 call. Thank goodness they rang off before I answered. I dialled 1471 to fond out this number new to me. Will do what I can to stop them, though I am already on TPS.

hi guys. it is now may 2010, over a year since the 0301 calls were first reported. i have had other calls from anonymous and 000. i have had calls all through the day and all hours. even after 11PM, and as early as 7:30 in the morning. you know its them because you finding yourself saying hello 4 or 5 times before you here the click and the inevitable eastern accent. I'd say i have had at least 100 calls so far in the last 3 weeks. is there anything any of us can do to stop these nuisance calls?

just got a call from these muppets who never even spoke perhaps i'll play just a moment while i get her for you lol call centres suck wonder where they got my number from though!
i have had 3 mobile before and  currently virgin liberty sim sombody somwhere sharing data...

Have been receiving calls from this number for more than a month now and at all hours of the day!!!!

i got this call to from 0301 and 6281330457292 for many times, and i'm from malaysia, is it possible that if we answered that phone call their will get any money? or just to make sure our number is still in use?..

I have just had a call from these idiots and he claimed to want feedback about Susan Roderick's Gas Supplier.  I explained to him that we have had the phone number for over two years and that we do not know anyone of that name.  He than asked for her again, as you can imagine at this point I got extremely angry due to having had numerous calls over the past two years from numerous numbers asking for this same woman...

I digress, after establishing he wasn't going to get to speak to her he asked if I could answer his questions to which I stated "No!".  He asked why and I told him I live in a flat which does not have gas supplied to it for health and safety reasons and also my company probably isn't the same as hers...he still didn't understand and asked me again if I would answer his questions.  Needless to say after being kept on the phone for nearly two minutes and getting angrier by the second I hung up!

Have had VERY regular calls from a foreign sounding chappie (one must be polite or one will get done for some sort of racial offence)purporting to be from a debt management company.  He always hangs up if the answer machine kicks in, he asks for a previous occupant (I refuse to give my name) I have relatives abroad who now know to speak to the answer machine as I now won't answer if I see International.  It is somewhat annoying (especially as I work shifts) and other than changing my number, I don't know how to stop it.
Some of the other replies have given me ideas for fun when I'm not too busy.

Yep just got the call a second ago.

After asking them to remove my number less than a month ago they have just called me again using the same details and the same excuse for calling!

If they call again I will be threatening them with legal action due to the fact they are keeping my details on file without my consent!

Damm these people I just had a call from 0301,why do these people keep ringing up its annoying!

Has a phone call from 0301 and he said something about wanting to speak to women about debt and asked who the home owner was, i said me and then he asked to speak to a young lady in the house. I said i lived alone and he said ok what is your name, i gave him a fake one and he said, ok goodbye in his very distinct indian accent.

some indian woman calling from miles away  not england very muffled suspicious sounding inquiring whether we have a sky satalite dish and receiver. i demanded to know how she got my phone number and she said  from the national data base  we have been ex directory for years and years. i immediately slammed the phone down   i think the police and the government should look into this 0301 number very thoroughlyit must be some sort of terrorist plot evolving i am convinced of it.

0301 is not a phone number. I have reported it to the police, so maybe something will be done about it.

RESULT.......Police now on the case .THANK GOODNESS.

The one thing that has surprised me is that none of the National papers have picked up on this or seen it on any Watchdog type programme. I'm sure some people will have given their details to them.

Funnily enough whilst I was reading a post on this topic the phone rang once and it was from 0301 again. It rang once so didn't give me time to answer.
