Don't even bother to answer these calls from some unknown idiots probably trying to make a quick buck out of innocent people.

Can you help me verify this number.

i received a few weird phone calls after i joined a xinmsn.com competition to get a kungfu panda 2 movie tickets and premiums. does this link to any of the anonymous calls?

I just got a call from 0301. I picked up the phone and there didn't seem to be anyone there, then the line went dead. I am signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, which is supposed to screen out theses sort of calls but they keep getting through. It wouldn't be so bad, but I have MS and I get really jumpy when this happens. I need a telephone for emergencies - otherwise I'd travel to India with my telephone, locate this company's director and use the telephone cord to… to do something I wouldn't regret.

Just received a +0301 from a Mandarin speaking person.....I hung up immediately

Started to get calls from this number when answered line dead, no speach or background noise.
Just annoying as i keep rushing to phone as it may be relative in distress!!!

Exdirectory and the call was at 22.57 - thought it was a family problem at that time of night so nice fast heart rate and they hung up when I said hello - any more and Im going to keep them on the line for over an hour including taking a bath, doing the vacuuming and chatting to friends on line, maybe wasting their phone lines will stop them.....

i just got a call from this number....if they call you, lead them on with a made up name, made up address, made up debts and made up account details....if you've got the time it's worth winding them up and wasting their time to give them a taste of their own medicine...i do this to a lot of cold callers and phone sales people

i got a phone call from this num.. it was headhunter offering some sort of job opening..

Jus reveived a call from this no. did not even bother to pick up the call. who knows if they might charge any fee after u answer the call?

0131 calls are typically call-back dial modes so when you pick up there is a slight pause of 1.5 to 2 second before the other party gets the connections alert before they can react.
And your number was selected based on their data base.

I am explaining this first so you understand the rational before the action I am going to suggest and that is :

Pick up the call and within 2 seconds hang it up, don't even bother to speak.

The auto sending system on the caller side will detect a connection and then drop call and will move on to the next number in line.

If you do not answer the call, the system will keep on trying your number for 3 tries or depending what they had set it to be.

No point getting angry with the caller/s, just beat their system and avoid the blood rush.

I got a call this morning one after another on my 2 mobile phones.I'm in singapore and i know i left a debt in u.a.e. my question is, how is this 0301 able to get my contact numbers in here and who else will be able to get my numbers???

My husband and my mobile numbers are only 1 digit different (last digits) and we both receive calls like 3 times from the +0301 10 min ago..Irritating

Ive been getting phone calls from this number for some time, but when I answer theres no one there.My phone will ring again within seconds which I dont pick up.This morning I picked up and put phone down again sure enough immediately it rang again this time a asian voice asked if I was a doctor I told her I wasnt and put phone down,she rang back and asked same question I again told her I wasnt a doctor and told her to stop ringing my number. I wont hold my breath.

Keep getting a call from 0301 Indian chap trying to tell me I have something wrong with my computer 3000 viruses and he wants me to install some programme to remove it.  Says he is from 100 London Road!!.  Tells me it is for MS version - though we have imac.

Got two calls today late afternoon. silence then dial tone caller display showed 0301. Is this a cold calling thing? we are ex directory and on the caller preference service but they still get through to us. WHY?

Good advice - I have had one call from these people, but recognised the delayed connection instantly so I just put the phone down before they had a chance to speak... now after reading all these posts, I am very glad I did! Someone really has to do something about these people! Luckily I haven't had another call from them since, but that doesn't mean I won't, after all, my number is in the system!
