0301
Report a phone call from 0301 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Johnhad a call from this number saying my computer had faults that it had been sending to some company could not make the guy out sounded indian.
- Caller: dinn't get a name
- heidi replies to LouiSame here! they are driving me crazy. They always ask if I am Mrs Jones and my partners name is Jones but we are not married, I tell them that there is no Mrs Jones and they reckon I have a computer virus-they don't actually know who I am so how can they know if I have a virus let alone that I am a mac user.
They want you to give them information about your login etc and they can then also get other details off of your computer, its a scam. - Heidi CorballyI keep receiving calls from a 0301 number. The person will always ask if I am Mrs. Jones (my partners name is Mr. Jones but we are not married) so they basically assume I am Mrs. Jones because I am a woman answering the phone of Mr Jones. They then go on to say that I have viruses on my Windows PC and ask for login details to help with these problems. I only have a mac.
They ring three times a day sometimes and even after I put the phone down they don't and it clogs my line up for ages.- Caller: unknown.
- eyesGot a call on an orange work mobile asking to speak to the doctor, Indian lady wouldn't answer my question when I asked what the 'Doctors Community' did as a business and got quite shirty with when I wouldn't pass on the private number of the Surgeon I worked for! Obviously as his secretary everyone leaves a message with me knowing I will get through to him when he isn't in a clinic or theatre so it was odd that she kept saying I have some important information to pass on to the doctor about a particular type of surgery not even a particular patient, Can't be that important otherwise she would have told me and not hung up when I refused to give her number.
I would happily leave her on the line if waiting whilst I 'went to get him' but unfortunately I also deal with emergencies from this line and mostly I get free messages about debt collection or from 'the doctors community' who don't seem to have a website!- Caller: 0301 The Doctors Community
- ABjust got a call from 0301 no answer when I picked it up 1100 10th aug 2011 01502 region UK
- njg| 1 replyjust had a call from the 0301 number telling me i had a virus on my computer , i only built the computer yesterday and hasn't been connected to the internet, he then asks if any other computers are connected to the internet in the house to which i said my laptop which he tells me has a virus and to turn it on i say it isn't here, he then asks where it is and gets all [***] saying it is his business where my laptop is when i said it wasn't any of his business
- Caller: 0301
- kewil replies to njgI'm getting fed up with the very non english speaking call centre on 0301
Must be a Mumbai scam...
apparently my PC has so many viruses amd malicious programs running on it, it should be crawling!
Not So...even Microsoft are puzzled at this compaay supposedly in Luton called AT technical
Had set the bloodhounds on this with a malicious call of my own to BT to nail the damn problem.
whatever happens don't give thise mind benders any info whatsoever...and just remain silent after their silly introduction...let thejm spend their money on the phone call.
drives em mad at your lack of response! - RobJust received a call from 0301 claiming they know how to fix my computer problem (which I dont have), I knew instantly that this was a phishing call and told them I was with TPS, and they hung up.
Is there any way of barring this number?- Caller: undisclosed
- alikitWhat a nusiance. First call from this number - hopefully the last
- Caller: 0301
- walkingwomanHave had this number ring several times over the last few weeks, once at 1.00am! Whenever I answer all I get is silence then an automated voice saying "goodbye"! Whilst it's bad enough getting these calls during the day/evening, to be woken up at 1.00am is unforgiveable as my immediate thoughts were that someone in my family was calling with bad news.
- Caller: 0301
- PeterI just had the first call from 0301, some Indian-sounding guy claiming to be from some computer support centre - unfortunately for him, I'm a computer, telecoms & security techie with some 30 years experience!
I decided to have some fun with him because he is paying for the call, when I saw the 0301 calling line ID, I simply asked him to prove to me he was who he said he was because I had no way of establishing his identity from the 4-digits I had on my phone.
When he gave me his name and his organisation I replied "But how do I know that since, by hiding your true CLID, you clearly have something to hide."
I just kept repeating "Prove to me you are who you say you are, then I may be interested in talking to you" and after a couple of minutes he hung up.
I'll post another message on here if I get more calls from them but I cannot believe that if you put that "brick wall" to them, they will persist more than a few times - these people make money from the number of calls they make and the number of sales they make, they're not going to keep calling you when they realise they're just wasting their time.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Big GHave had this number on and off for a couple of weeks. Get silence then either a `goodbye` or just rings off. As I'm ex-directory it is a bit of a head scratcher as to just how they get your number. Dialling 14771 helps as it is logged as a malicious call with your phone company. Hopefully they will do something about it.
- annoyedKeep getting calls from this number with no-one at the other end. I am on talk-talk so will be ringing to see if they can block calls from this number
- bigG| 1 replyHave just started receiving these calls on my ex-dir number and the caller has an asian accent asking about "the faulty computer". next time I will attempt the record the conversation to try and get someone (who?) to identify the caller / company.
Anyone had any success on getting such calls blocked by their telecomm supplier?- Caller: unknown
- ConcernedHad a missed call from 0301 and wonder what it is all about. Someone could be checking when people are at home for some 'unknown reason'. This is quite worrying.
- Robert Nicollhung up on call
- GeorgefanJust had a call from this number. Didn't catch the company name but was a foreign sounding person called "Edmund"- yeah right. Anyway, he then proceeded to ask me to confirm my gas and electric supplier by listing companies for me to say yes or no to. Kept calling me mam which really wound me up. Got to say I then lost my temper, swore at him and hung up. Then I dialled 1477 to log it as malicious.
I am with the TPS and ex-directory. How do these low lifes get our numbers?? Thank god for caller ID.- Caller: Utility survey
- Call type: Survey
- Georgefan replies to bigGI had a withheld call yesterday like this. When he said his records showed my computer had a problem, I replied- "I don't have a computer" he then said "Not a laptop" to which I replied "Isn't a laptop a computer? I don't have one". This seemed to really confuse him and he apologised for calling- I said well don't call again!
Thanks to this website, I was already aware of this scam where they try to get your details so they can send an update etc. Don't get sucked in by these idiots. - ROALO1I received a call from 0301, They hung up immediately, I am on the telephone preference list, so they shouldn't be able to access my number on any automatic databases.
- Caller: ?
- mater robin| 1 replyyes also received one of these calls, and they just hung up.
