Had  "missed" call from this number on Friday 4/11/.
1471 just gave this numbeer and when we tired connect just went dead
no idea who it was but looking at previous replys suspect it is either something to do with an exsisting dispute or consolidation

I received a call from this number and gave my name. A silence followed at the end of which a voice, perhaps electronic, said 'Good bye'.

I have received 3 calls from this number 2 over the weekend and another 1 today left no message. I have now barred this number.

Persistently receive calls from this number but all I get is silence or the phone put down again when I answer. It is a considerable inconvenience to keep running to the phone for no reason all the time. My aged and ill parents keep getting this too and it is even more of a problem for them.

Got called by these while out. I'll no doubt get a repeat attempt. Unusual number. Area code for Karachi someone on here said. I'm on talk talk line rental.

Had a phone call from this number today, saying that they have had bad signals coming from my computer and that they can help get rid of these error's! They don't hesitate to ask questions about your information. Don't give them any information! They are fraud!

Two calls in two days at similar times, answered and caller hungs up. First one annoying, second more concerning as number witheld. I am happier having checked it out on the internet as my first thoughts had been someone trying to ascertain whether the house was occupied or nor any one was home as a spate of burglary in the area.

recieved 2 calls from 0301 twice 2/11/11 and 8/11/11,was out both times so no idea what it was about just confused over funny number, have our own policy not to ring back numbers we dont know.

Just had a call on the landline, picked up the receiver and nobody on the the other end. Dialled 1471 and the number was 0301.

An indian voice trying to tell me that I have problems with my computer!!! I am sick of these types of calls.

Have been getting lots of these calls. How do I stop them?

My telephone displays the caller number, if I am called by a non-UK number I let it ring out and it can go to my answering machine--funnily enough though--they hang up before that happens. I also treat "Withheld" numbers the same way. Since adopting this routine I am rarely bothered.

Had a 0301 call today.  You guessed it, an Indian guy supposedly from the "IT Support Department" calling from Windows (! I mean, really!?!)

I let him go through his script and asked a few pertinent questions like "Where are you calling from exactly?" but got a bit annoyed that he wasn't giving me much, so I gave him an idea of what I thought of him and his career choices :)

Later got another very similar call on 02133333206 so I guess these 2 "organisations" are linked.

I've got one from this number on 07.02.2012: 3.36AM which, of course i didnt attend to. Havnt got any after that.

I've been receiving calls and miss calls from this num 0301 and it's freaky. Any has any idea which state or country belong this num?? It's irritating!!!!

I have just had a similar call - played along - acted a bit dim (well not much pretence needed there!) - Pretended to type in all the instructions he gave me - when he asked me to read back the message my 'infected' computer was displaying I repeated this:
'YOU HAVE JUST BEEN PHONED MY A LYING CHEATING CONMAN'. I then said in my little old lady voice 'Oh dear are you really?'

He hung up at this point. Childish I know - but it cheered me up no end!

Just got a call from 0301 but there was no response on the other side wen I kept sayin hello then they hung up

Get calls from this number at least 4 times a day.  Silent calls.

Just had a call from 301 this afternoon. Indian guy said that he was from some company (couldn't follow what he said) on behalf of Renault Cars.
He said that I had apparently indicated (somewhere ?)  that I was going to change my car in September this year ? I said "No".
He asked whether I was I looking to change my car in September this year. I said "No" - at this point he just hung up !
I must try the old - "I'll just go and get him for you" routine and leave the phone sitting open - does anyone know if that still locks the phone the other end and stops them being able to dial out - or is that an old wives tail ?
