- Packers| 1 replyWhat a bunch of muppets, they called earlier so did some investigation found this site, and while looking they called again. Claim to be work on a government backed debeit clearing scheme IVA and they were from the Debt Advice Burue, I asked if I could arrange to visit them and they said they had offices in Liecester and Manchester but needed some details before they could arrange a meeting and wasn't willing to disclose an address. So I played along, said I had £500K of debiet costing me £3.5K a month I worked part time and earned £1M per annum. Let him ask me what debt I had all manor of options kept saying no to them until he ran out of options, and then said they were lease debts, he asked was this a company debt I said yes he said couldn't help me with that, and asked again about personal debts so I said I paided cash for everything. He then concluded he couldn't help me and bid me goodbye, we will see if thats the last of the calls.

TPS Team Leader - enya| 1 replyhave been getting these calls for sometime really annoying was talking to my daughter she is even getting them on her mobile they are so annoying i am not with virgin but bt and daughter is with t mobile
- JayneBeen on Virgin Media for about 18 months now. Over the past couple of months we've been getting calls day & night from 0301. On answering the first time, I was informed that we were entitled to some kind of government grant scheme, to consolidate any debts. I politely replied that I didn't need any assistance thankyou, & would not be discussing my private business over the phone anyway. The gentleman, if you can really call him that!!!, was then rather abrupt & rude. When I asked him how he had aquired my phone number, he completely ignored me, & continued to give me reasons why I should talk to him. I made my excuses & ended the call. Since then their calls have been relentless, every day. My advice, DO NOT TALK TO THEM & DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. How can we stop this happening though ???

- alliive have had 15 calls from this number in the last two days because i have a voice mail they are not leaving messasges but are taking up all my space on my line for more important who ae they?
- MatHi there, yes same story 0301 are calling me sometimes upto 18 times a day and it is becoming really tiresome as they are now ringing around the clock 24/7.
These people/scamsters do not take a hint or know when to stop. I have recently registered with TPS to stop all sales calls, the only problem with this is that it takes 28 days to become effective and even then there's no sure gaurantee that this is going to make a difference.
The Callers always seem to be asian when they do decide to speak...however when they pass you over to thier colleagues on one particular occasion he said 'I will pass you over to my brother please hold the line'. I think that was a blunder on his behalf because it made me think a scam was then in progress. I can only hope that a telephone/legal company out there will eventually stop these fraudsters from harrassing people in the safety of thier own homes because i really feel not enough is being done about it. my number is a private number and therefore should be respected and protected by the people i pay my money to for the service.- Caller: ?
- AnnoyedThis number is calling 3 three times a day, even when I tell me to go away they promptly ring back. They called yesterday and had the nerve to say, I will ring you back tomorrow!!! Yes they have just phoned GGRR. Same man with an Indian accent going on about debt consolidation via the government scheme.
- doughed 4 calls today from 0301 usualy they hide there number so i dont know its them i have asked them repeatedly to stop phoning as i am disabled they phone from 7 30 am on wards every day its getting to a point where i want to throw the phone out the window. but what gets me is im on ex directory with bt and anon calls are supposed to be barred, and how do they get my name ive never contacted a debt recovery or such thing in my life

- Vivienne RichardsonI have been called by these people at least three times a day for the last eight months. Despite constant requests to have my number removed from their database the calls keep coming. I have told them I am part of the TPS and this does not deter them. This is harrassment and is at the very least annoying not to mention upsetting as when I put the phone down they immediately call back and this can happen again and again until I un-plug the phone. These people need to be stopped, they should not have any type of information regarding my personal finances and should not be calling after I have requested that they not call again.

- barry0301 how do I get them to stop calling me. I have tried to be nice now I am getting nasty. BUNCH OF [***] dont listen. BT WERE CRAP, and I am not paying to stop these calls. Does anyone know a number to get hold of these evil scumbag dity time wasters please. Next time they call I am going to tell them I will blow up their country and rape ya mother.... As you can tell im getting rather pissed off now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- BethHad a call from them yesterday and got home today and listened to the messages on the answer machine. There was one message that just sounded like whooshing, like someone was near the sea or out in the wind. I could just about hear voices in the background, but couldn't make out what they were saying. Did 1471, and yes, it was 0301 calling again.
- Terry SmithGot a call out of the blue today some Indian man saying he represented the government for debt help. I'd like to know where he got my number from and if he calls again I will certainly be giving him a piece of my mind and more!!
- Steve FosterHave just had this call from "0301". After playing along and saying I had tons of debt, was feeling suicidal, am mentally ill and was waiting for the carer to bring my medication they still transferred my call to a manager in the UK. I said I couldn't find any bills but would ring them back later when my carer had gone, they gave me their telephone number.
I then rang back on the number given, confirmed them as the same people I had been speaking to earlier. So I now know who they are.
Details of the company they are linked to is the Debt Advisory Line. Direct Line of the Manageress concerned is Lauren on 0161 246 6571. I informed her that I will be contacting the tps and she said that she would look into the matter. She claimed they bought the data from a company who say people have applied for a loan within 12 months, but I have never applied for a loan and also have not lived at the address details they had for 4 years (I had just kept my phone number).- Caller: Debt Advisory Line
- DavidThird time today of what is becoming a regular occurance. I just answered and hung up as I am fed up of hearing the answer machine kick in.
- Peter BentleyJust had a few calls from 0301; I have an answerphone, and I usually wait to see who is phoning. For several calls, no message was left so I picked up the receiver. There was no voice; the phone went dead!
Now I know it's some sort of scam, when I dial 1471 it won't bother me! - JANET NEWCOMBEkeep getting calls from this number. When I call it back it is no such number
- ChrisJust got a call from this number. Tried to tell me that he worked for the government. When i told him that i was registered with tps he tried to tell me that it doesnt matter and that they can call whoever they want when ever they want. I gave him a few choice words and deliberately insulted him for a few mins. He obviously has nothing to do with the government(he had the sense to hang up), lets face it, the idiots running our country aren't that sharp.
- ChrisI just spoke to virgin about the genius that says he works for the government. They are not interested, was told to register with the tps, when i told them i already was, they just said "oh well, speak to the tps".
they basically dont care.
Im amazed the company is still called virgin, because the company is obviously well f***ed, as is the customer service you would expect them to look after their customers.- Caller: N3C3

I didn't answer it today as I saw the number, instead I let my toddler speak to them for a few minutes. Works for him, works for me.- Caller: No idea
