Me too...no answer n no ringtone...

I received a call today saying from AIA and giving FOC insurance , I asked for her name, contact no, and also her ID, she managed to give me all the details. First she asked me for address, i gave her then she asked for my IC number, I started to suspect her then i just say "sorry i think i better check about this offer then i get back to you", she sounds very unfriendly and says OK.

i received a call from this number just now.caller is sofia.offered me insurance with monthly pymt of $49.
sounded professional and genuine.so i accepted her offer and she then asked for my nric no and address, which i provided.but then she asked for banking relationship number.as i work in a bank,i am not aware of such term.so i asked her.she said it's the 16 digit no printed on my debit card.i told her i'm not comfortable to pay via auto debit mode.she said for this offer and for 1st payment,they need to do auto-debit and i can choose to pay via other mode later.i became suspicious and gave her wrong debit card no and expiry date- just to be on the safe side.like previous comment,the aia agent also said all the insurance akad.the call ended.but after 5 minutes she called again,maybe after realising i had given invalid card number...

May I know who calling my phone?

I suspect that this is from AIA as well, because this number was used right after another number of theirs was ended by yours truly.

saya pun dah banyak kali terima call dari nombor ni..banyak kali. Biasanya kalau nombor ofis, saya akan check google dulu..banyak kali terjumpa nombor2 tu kat sini. tQ for contributor.

2012 July - got a call claiming they are aia and got my number from air Asia. They were selling insurance but free for x amount of days. I agreed to the free insurance.
2013 Mac - nothing happened until this point, received another number telling me to upgrade. It got my suspicious and I had to literally be loud at her to say no.
2013 Apr - received a letter of premium statement saying that I hv paid RM919 (monthly RM91.90, from July until April). Immediately I took out all the money from the bank and closed the account. I started to chase on my full refund. I wrote a letter of what happened and that their action was unethical.
2013 May to June - no action was taken regarding my refund. My letter even got rejected, saying that the telemarketer asked for my permission before it proceeded. I wrote another letter with more affirmation and getting them to show the proof by record of phone conversation. Side note; I had a SMS telling me to pay insurance fee on time.
2013 July - chase of refund did not stop at all, I called up every week or two to get updates of my refund. Finally a guy called and promise to give the refund. But he could only transfer back to the account where money was withdrawn from. Note; the account was already close and there should hv no way it could be debited.
2013 Oct - I ran around between my bank and aia insurance as both of them claimed that the money is on each other's end. It sounded to me that aia still had the money because if the bank account is closed, it should be bounced. I tried talking nicely for COUNTLESS TIMES to the customer service person, but all she said was "give us a few days". In the end I told her that I was going to lodge a police report on this, she got afraid and kept saying not to do it and she will give me a response the next day. Indeed, the next day, my bank called to say that they hv received it from my closed account and transferred to me.

My conclusion is, if you are being scammed by corporates like this, don't give up. Just keep chasing. The trick of these insurances is that victims give up easily because they spend more time and effort to do it, which they think is not worthy. And companies see this as an oppOrtunity - your lack of action and determination is where they take the money. If you want to calculate, just calculate why is your hard earned money with them when you get nothing. Over my process of refund I almost wanted to give up for a few times but I didn't. And I had to really show frustration and make myself sound like a mad customer, which I never want to be. Glad I got my money now.

i think they are try to cheat...there no such no when i check at AIA Insurance website

It's not likely a scam, but involves some deceptive marketing. I said I won't agree to buy the insurance it until I went thru the details in printed document, and the caller said need my details to send the document to me. I gave all the details including credit card number and expiry date. Then he only explain that I need to agree to the terms only then they'll send the documents. And I said no and end the conversation.

Fearing that it's a scam, I called my bank to terminate the credit card. Bank answered that since I already rejected the offer on the phone, I have the authority to request for refund if AIA or the scammer charges to my account, therefore it's not necessary to terminate the card. Just to be wary of every transaction on the card.

A malay lady spoke in English requested to be communicate in Malay claim calling from Public Bank and offering insurance coverage. Asked for address to post related document but was rejected by myself if they do not have my address in their database. I requested them to email but they unable to. She kept any means to continue the conversation which then I just hang up.

Got a call from this number today. Claimed to be from AIA, selling Personal Accident (PA) insurance with yearly 6 months rebate out of the premium paid.
She explained all policy coverage stuffs point by point 1 until 6 which i listened patiently and i was actually partly interested.
In the end, she asked for my address and credit card no, which i said i am not comfortable to provide through phone.
She was able to give her name and Agent ID.
I told her after consideration, i'm not interested, she was polite enough to say thank you for your time and ended the call (16 minutes in total).
To be honest, i can't tell if this is the real deal or scam, but i will never give my credit card no out via phone.

1stly, you can call and check with TM. If the number dont exist, then these are voip numbers. If thats the case, try switching off your internet. These bad guys may be calling from anywhere in the world using the internet but their number can imitate our local number. Thats why you see the prefix 03-xxxxxxx. So switch off the internet when you are not using it. Hope this helps.

I juz receive a call frm this phone number..said frm public bank..ask for my address cause he wan to send me the health card..i had given them..can them do anything with it?

Me too....receive call from this number. Said from AIA . I was join the scheme but then i cut it because so suspicious.
They call back and ask Y no longer can not deduct the fee from my BANK CARD.

to make it short.....i cut the line and he call back. I told him I'm in the meeting.
Shocking....he scold me.
WHY DONT U SAY SO U'RE in THE MEETING????
