A lady named Uma call me from my office n said its bank negara new rules.Request for copy of 2 month payslip. luckily i found this website...

The number, 03-2772 0300, is from Maybank. A few weeks ago I received a snail mail asking me to fax my latest payslip to Maybank. I totally forgot to do so and last week I received a call from that number asking about it. Of course I was skeptic. So when I got back home, I searched for the snail mail. The phone number printed at the bottom of the mail is exactly the same with the number that called me.

I just call Maybank at 1300 88 6688 and they confirm that request is genuinely from them. But fell free to confirm your self. Cheers.

No worries.. its not fraud.. alternatively, u can call MBB Customer Service / walk in to MBB branch to verify. Since you did provide your document, MBB will credited 3000 rewards points as appreciation and you can check in your next statement / again, call cust service (points will be credited 2 weeks upon doc rcvd).. Just alled to maybank card center and ask, its geniune. although its geniune, u should call and ask 1st also, just in case there imposter

I got a call frm tis number y'day (17/01/12). Asking for my 2 mths payslip too. Saying the same thing about the Bank Negara new concept or wat for ppl who earn below 3K per mth.

I am not earning <3k but why am I still getting a call from this number??

I also got this call today afternoon. I refuse to give them any detail over the phone, and ask them to email me so I can have a look. After I read the email I feel quite weird. So I make a phone call to Maybank internet banking fraud hotline, and the staff over the phone confirmed with me that Maybank won't ask personal details from their customers over the phone. And if got such request, they will issued formal black and white in mail format to customers, and tell me don't ever give them any details no matter what.

And asked me to forward the email I got to them, so they can investigate on this case. So, people please don't give them any details.

Me too also got a call from this number around 3pm (16/2/2012). She introduced herself as Akma and explained the new BNM Guideline regarding Credit Card. She asked me to fax to her my latest 2 months payslip. I can't fax her at that time since i was not in the office and told her will do so on the next day.

Afraid of being scammed, i googled the number and found this site. Some said it might be scam and some said no which not helping much.

I guess i just walk in to the nearest bank and ask them to clarify the validity of the call and pass my payslip to them. :)

i also receice the call today again, last time when i receice a call and a letter, i go to maybank branch and ask, the said that it is new plan, if i donit want , can inore it..so, what ah?

M2U Can send a letter to all the User, Like HLB already did this last 2 week for the same requirement. ^^

,"u ader i punya email adress? she replied yes and sebut...myname@mycompany.com..
waa..im quite shocked..i dont remember ever gave my company email add to maybank..my maybank2u pun using my personal email add..

Yup, I also called Maybank and they claimed the same. It was a formality by Bank Negara.

a lady asked about my salary. I just hang up my phone..coz I smell something not right..

Received a called from Nora about the above matter. It is legit because I went over to Maybank branch and the bank officer at the branch called the card center and managed to to talk the same lady (Nora) who spoke to me. The bank officer at the branch agrees to help me fax my payslip. So if you are concern to whom you fax to, just go to Maybank branch nearest to you to sort it out. If not, Bank Negara will deactivate one of your bank's card. Just imagine the inconvenience went that happens.
