Yup, I also called Maybank and they claimed the same. It was a formality by Bank Negara.

Received a called from Nora about the above matter. It is legit because I went over to Maybank branch and the bank officer at the branch called the card center and managed to to talk the same lady (Nora) who spoke to me. The bank officer at the branch agrees to help me fax my payslip. So if you are concern to whom you fax to, just go to Maybank branch nearest to you to sort it out. If not, Bank Negara will deactivate one of your bank's card. Just imagine the inconvenience went that happens.

Verified with Maybank (1300 88 6688) this morning. It's valid. They did this program.

i also received a call from 0327720300, at sometime, i also got a call with (private no. No Numeric appeared  saying that she are from Maybank Putrajaya asking the same) .If it really from the Maybank and instruction from Bank Negara to update our income statement, please issued formal letter of reminder or information, attached with our monthly credit balance account  which Maybank submitted every month to the card holder .Then we satisfied that the information and instruction is true. Plz.. do not use a phone call. nowadays many fraud call..nobody can believe it (for Maybank staff who read this message plz tell your HQ or centre to give a formal black and white not a verbal to your customer). Thank You...

I din get the formal letter from maybank but citibank did send me the letter regarding the change of new regulation from Bank Negara.
