have included all emails so people know to be careful. Not sure what his reasons are as he only wanted to deal with paypal and im told this is secure and he cannot gain anything. Just wanted to share.

You don't have to wait for any 2-3 days before your account is acivated Kindy check your email paypal would have send you an activation email click on the link and your account will be activated . send me your PayPal email i will make the payment and you will be notified in your email that the payment have been made.

My sister googled his email address to which we found all of these previous comments, so I sent him an email asking if he was legit he then replied again, This has all been in the last hour.

Hi, i would come for an inspection but I'm currently out in the middle of the desert at the moment on a nickel mine-site for 5 more weeks and due to the nature of my work,phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. Hi Ive just had the same message as all others claiming he (Stephen John Keegan ) will purchase the car and the said, consider it as sold. Aftre seeing all these other messages I know know its a scam, thanks for all the info

O--M--G!!!!  This is EXACTLY the same wording in my email.  I honestly thought this guy was interested in my car.  When I sent him answers to his questions and pictures (which I wondered why he wanted if he saw the ad (?).  After NEVER answering the phone number 0419827914, I replied to the email.  He VERY quickly responded to my email raving on about not being able to come and inspect but wanted to buy it and would pay using PayPal and if  I didn't have an account I should set one up.  He would then send a private courier to pick up the car. I was suspicious so decide to google his name--what a shock!  Thank God people like you put info online about stuff like this.

Got an SMS message along the same lines from "John LEWRY" to reply to his email (jlewry@live.com) requesting details that are already in the online ad - how stupid do these scammers think we are???

Also note that the text message appears with a name only and no reply phone number - that should be an automatic warning that they are texting via online applications like Skype!

Put my car on Cars Guide and got an email from 0419827914 posing as Stephen Lewry and asking for details about my car that was already noted on the ad!! Scammer

I have just had the exact same dealings with Stephen Lewry as you, the wording on the email is the exact same.  I thought it was a bit odd to be honest, considering he didn't want a test drive.  I've sent him back another email so we'll wait and see.  I'll post all the correspondence up here too so others can know.  But thanks to you we now know we're being scammed.

I've had exactly the same dealings since last night through to this afternoon.

I thought he was legitimate as he asked the standard questions initially.  However, upon receipt of a supposed "PayPal" email from some other guy on behalf of PayPal I realised it was a scam.  I then sent him an email saying that I have forwarded all his emails to the Police Fraud Department and have not heard from him since.  

I have actually sent an email to PayPal as well so they can keep an eye out for him.

I just got all the same emails as well

I have just had exactly the same e-mail as Larelle Scott with EXACTLY the same responses. Apparently old Kenneth works in a nickel mine and although he would like to inspect the car and pay cash he is not in a position to do so!

Shocking.....and just hope that people do not fall for such scams.

This guy is still out there, he contacted us today trying to get PayPal details for a car we selling for 7500. All previous posts had he same as we did today, only now he is at a nickel smelter in the middle of the desert......not bad hey......today he is calling himself john lewry.....
