seen this number in my call log as a received message, but have not received messages from it - it appears after I send a MMS, but not always...

It all sounds suss - founf this number also on my partner's phone. It is a little disturbing how many of these comments already have trust issues in their relationship - I now believe it is from a dating site and think you guys are fools if you really think you can keep lying to your partners

Normally if it is blocked you dont receive this message

If it's unblocked - you get it

I suppose it is a bug. big brother or something.

I got the same 'cannot be displayed', but reading this forum has made me giggle. What's with everyone going through their partner's phone log? If there's no trust, there's no point. My partner wouldn't dream of reading my texts and vice versa. We both send sms's to our ex's without any bother!

totally same scenario with me! makes me feel a little bit foolish but kinda wanna know what the hells going on!

Received about 10 messages from this number over the last few months.

All messages simply read: Message cannot be displayed.

Very annoying indeed! Our phone are all on the national 'do not call' register which generally speaking seems to work, but this number keeps sending the random text messages!

I have always thought death is chasing me and lastnight I made a comment on FB that I aint scared of the devil id kick his ass. Also battling NWO like mad lastnight too hmmm, curious indeed. Towoomba says one person, well i was from cairns. I vagulely remember having contact with a mousey recently on then net!? Weird stuff. Same number. Hmmmm, has anyone here ever been hacked by godzilla??? A strange virus, that takes your ie bar and worms your computer, some say low risk others say digital death! Perhaps it is this that brings us together. Is it science or is it the devil, is it a natural glitch or the playground being leveled??? A bug or a sickness.

The reason it gets saved into your phone is because when you go to delete it, it has "use number" as the first option instead of the normal 'delete' option. When you press again (normally to confirm deleting) you get 'options' and the first is 'save number'. If like me you keep hitting the top button to clear the 'deleting' message animation you will end up accidentally saving the number.

For the 'cannot be displayed' message from this number the options shown are:
Use number
Delete
Details
Add to scrn. list

Normal messages have 10 options. So I suspect it is Junk mail from Telstra and we don't have fancy enough phones to see it. No loss, then, but I haven't called Telstra to confirm this because calling Telstra is a frustrating, mind-numbing — if not openly antagonistic — process.

Another option is that it is a message designed to make you look for it online, so that data miners can then associate your mobile number with your saved cookies and browser history. But that's just paranoid. Right? Right??!

i just recieved one too and woundering who the hell it was rang it but it say error in connection

Had same number twice.  Rang number and man answered, Is a new iinet number rented from telstra.  Also rang telstra and they are investigating.

My man has had the same number text him repeatly when he goes outa town, i havent asked him yet, as i like to do my research first... ive rang the number and texted it, it just says disconnected???
if anyone find out who it is please let me know??? Coz this is really startn to get very annoying!!!! GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

this num txt my husbands work phone twice last week and has been txting over the last few months, rang the num & it says connection cant be made etc its becoming very annoying.

i am so over this number, my husband keeps getting it in his log saying he got a message from it but he said he has never, we ended up in a really big fight and he left, i am so friggin pissed off and will be letting telstra know how i feel......

ha ha ha ha, this message (MESSAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED) has been pestering me for ages now, i never knew it affected so many people like me. I have also replied to the message to no avail and have also tried to call - no response. i would certainly love to know what it is.

It comes from a  pre paid number!
eg: From a lap top! That's why when you dial the number... it does not ring!
Think about it.... There cheating! Photos! Everything!
