I rang Telstra and they deny it. Suggest it may be a subscription service that gets money if you reply. Any reply counts - like '[***]' still means they can charge money? Telstra no help.

My husband has received the message MESSAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED from the number 0428255768 twice now and with trust issues looming it is causing lots of heartache in our household.  SOMEONE PLEASE STOP IT I'm f.....g over it!!

This is frustrating because it is causing all relationship issues. I also got caught going through my partners mobile log and this number kept appearing also. I was rather suspicious like all of you because I had worked out that they were all sms coming in on dates I knew that my partner had been away. There would be an incoming sms then an outgoing mms straight away. I was thinking at this stage that my partner very rarely sends me mms msgs so was wondering who this was.After much investigating on my behalf I realised that everytime I had sent him an mms this number would appear in his log as an incoming sms the as mentioned instantly an outgoing mms would appear in the log also.

I hope this makes sense...but no ladies there is nothing to worry about unless the mms are not from yourself...make sure you know who they are from if they only appear when they are away and you don't mms them during this time lol

So to sum it up it is a telstra generated number which really doesn't exist except for forwarding our mms's...if this makes sense.

I think the number is also different for each different area. This I am thinking is the number for the Toowoomba / Warwick area?? that the mms are sent from ??

this number 0428255768 was in my husbands phone had messages from it but werent there anymore he doesnt know who it is tried calling it but wont connect seems quite a few people are having the same issue be interested to know who it is and why they keep texting. we are from rouse hill.

Have received 3 from this number, now, and each time it says message cannot be displayed. As I had just purchased a new phone, I didn't know whose number it was and tried calling it back to see if it was someone I knew but it just kept saying "Check operator services". My mobile is a silent number as well - this is crap. How the hell are they getting our numbers?

I received 5 txts from this number yesterday and they all say "message cannot be displayed". Very annoying!!!!

Exactly same. And it happened after I sent my number to someone who advertised a job on Gumtree.

Confirming its someone sending you a MMS that you cannot recieve.  Someone sent me a phone business card today and called me immediately afterward.  Since the SMS Unable to display message appeared from a different number, I googled it to check it.

Read the thread people, It is TELSTRA, not a girflriend, or a call centre trying to sell you something. It is anybody that sent you an MMS that your phone cant read, even someone you dont know with the wrong number.  Would be smarter if their system sent the sender a message that it cannot be delivered.
