just had call from the 0441616567957 number after just getting off the phone to Australia.Seems such a coincidence that my call finished and 'they' phoned me.Thinking it was my mother calling back I answered it......the woman knew my name but I never admit to that when asked over the phone!She said she was with TalkTalk and wanted to do something for me but as the line was so bad didn't hear that bit.When I told her I didn't answer any questions over the phone she hung up!!How rude!!
Are they monitoring calls and perhaps listening in?

Thanks for heads up - I have received two calls from this number, both unanswered and have just found this form and thanks to the guy who listed 1477, I have done that and will do so in future.

I have had the above number calling everyday this week - I am ex directory too. Thanks for the information regarding the number 1477 - I have reported it and will continue to do so each time I receive a call - I am with talktalk so who are these people calling? When I call back the line goes dead - I will certainly not be giving them any information and thanks for the warnings.

I've just had a call from this lot.They never said they were Talktalk,jut asked if I was a TT customer. Quite a crafty move really when you consider it. They were asking for  details of my talktalk.When I asked them for THEIR details they were stumped. I said to send me an email about offers.They said they couldn't.Was it Talktalk?How do I know?

Another scam DO NOT give any information the number 0441616567957 is based in bermuda or germany depending if its 41 or 441*

However if you DO THIS

dial 1477 immediately after the call and youve 1471 it to get the number it logs it with BT as malicious call.

so 1477 when you get calls like this BT will soon get annoyed themselves.

I got this number today,didnt leave a message as was out.I also have many calls from talktalk asking if i wanted to upgrade,I have told them im happy with what im on,keep on ringing,I am getting so fed up with them all.

Had a call twice a day for the past five days did not answer the calls, no messages left. Do not know who it is.  Thanks to all, i was able to check it on line.

This number called twice once Frid and now today saturday, was out but no message left just silence.  If it is TalkTalk in this country or even another country why are they allowed to get away with this? Not only does it annoy and presumably worry some people, the call back facility is negated from genuine calls, ie the last number dialled will be their number; judging by others on this subject, even if they do talk to you they are abrupt etc and put the phone down, lovely customer service there then!!! There does not seem to be any consequences for large companies who knowingly carry out these nuisance calls, they just carry on randomly (or purposely) calling people.

Been with Talktalk for over 2 years, and am seriously considering binning them because of the number of calls I get from this number... NAFF OFF - if I want to upgrade, I will contact YOU!  Grr...

I couldnt agree more-talk talk seem to be the worst due to the amount of call centres they currently hold in numerous countries, although I havent been with BT for a long time, and therefore would not be surprised if they (or any other phone/net companies) had gone down the same route in recent yrs by constantly surveying/advertising or trying to convince their customers to upgrade... :( im pretty sure its an official talktalk number, but I advise EVERYONE to never give bank or credit card details over any phone. If you want to upgrade, do it yourself by phoning their customer number or via the official website :)

Its probably just coincidence that they phoned straight after. if talktalk are using so many foreign call centres then I would doubt that much monitoring ever goes on-and since most staff get paid by the amount of customers they successfully manage to upgrade service or complete a survey, its 99.9% likely that you are dealing with rude and often very young staff as a majority. They dont care, so why should you? When they say hello and state their intentions, simply hang up :) :) :) lol

I had a missed call from this number today.
If they ring again I will just lift the receiver and hang up!

I've had calls from 0441616567957 many times over the past few weeks and today when I picked up the phone I didn't say anything.  Then a voice said, "hello", so I said, "hello", they said they were from TalkTalk and asked if I am happy with the service, I said "yes" and they then said I may be entitled to an upgrade.  I explained that I had received an email only a few days ago about upgrades and they said "thanks" and hung-up.

I just spoke to TalkTalk and they were very pleased that I had reported it to then and were going to investigate.  I also used the 1477 number.

Had several calls from 0441616567957 and getting a bit fed up, called Talk Talk and they don't seem all that interested, just told me not to answer phone, and I can work that out myself. Thanks Talk Talk.

They phoned me today when I was out, from  from 0441616567957. but they left no message.  I tried to phone back but found the line was unobtainable.  I am with Talktalk so I agree this number is almost certainly associated with Talktalk.   I have been harrassed a lot by Talktalk sales pepople, often with foreign accents.  My advice would be NEVER to get phone or broadband from talktalk.  I very much regret that I am now locked into one of their contracts.  The broadband speed is pathetic; back in March they billed me twice for the same period and I am still trying to get a refund out of them; and they specialise in these phone calls trying to persuade me to upgrade although I've only been with them for 5 months.
